The Uganda Boxing Federation has released an official statement concerning the boxing match between Shawa and Chicken Chicken held on 6 August 2026 at Supremacy Lounge, Nankulabye.
According to the Federation's statement, Shawa was the winner by Referee Stop Contest (RSC) and the fight should not have been announced as a draw.
The Federation also stated that the promoter and officials involved will face immediate disciplinary proceedings.

NBS Television journalist Brian Macona is reportedly receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Kisubi Hospital following a serious car accident.
The crash tragically claimed the lives of Kasirye Badru, producer of Uncut Kalakata, and Isaac Ndamagye, a social media worker. The accident is said to have occurred at the Stabex petrol station in Namulanda.
