Toyota just released its March and first quarter 2026 U.S. sales results, and while overall March sales were down slightly year-over-year, electrified vehicles continue to be a huge part of the brand’s momentum with over 115,000 electrified vehicles sold in March alone, making up more than half of Toyota and Lexus sales. Toyota also highlighted strong demand for key models like the Corolla Cross Gas and Grand Highlander Hybrid, both of which hit all-time best-ever sales, while Lexus saw record results from the RZ and NX Plug-in Hybrid. Toyota says limited inventory and production ramp-up on the all-new RAV4 played a role in some of the slower numbers, but overall the company still feels very confident heading deeper into 2026.

Toyota just revealed more of the 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland, and honestly I think this is one of the more interesting EVs they’ve shown so far.

It gets a more rugged Woodland-style look, a longer wagon-like body, 375 horsepower, and Toyota says it should get up to 281 miles of range.

This feels like Toyota trying to make an EV that has a little more personality and utility than the regular bZ.

Would you take the new bZ Woodland over the standard bZ?

For those of us following Toyota’s EV lineup, MotorTrend’s review of the new 2026 Toyota C-HR was pretty interesting.

Their biggest takeaway was that Toyota actually made this thing way more fun to drive than people may have expected. They praised the 338 hp, standard AWD, quick acceleration, sporty handling, quiet ride, and solid value, which honestly lines up with what a lot of us hoped Toyota would do with this one.

Where they felt Toyota still has room to improve was road-trip range, rear seat/cargo space, and the lack of a true one-pedal driving mode. So overall, it sounds like the C-HR is a much bolder and more exciting EV from Toyota — just not perfect yet.

What do you guys think — is the new C-HR a step in the right direction for Toyota EVs?
