🔍 Key Updates & Eligibility Criteria
Domicile Requirement: Only candidates holding a permanent domicile of the respective district are eligible to apply for these posts.
Phase 1 Focus (Urban Districts): The current recruitment phase has been initiated for 10 specific districts where the urban population is relatively higher. Vacancies are currently advertised only for these districts.
Other Districts: Job openings for the remaining districts of Punjab will be announced in the next phase.

The Government of Punjab, through the Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department, has introduced new vehicle tax reforms under the Finance Act 2026–27 to create a fair, transparent and citizen-friendly taxation system.
The revised measure includes Private Car and Commercial Truck Token Tax rates, updated Transfer Fee and HPA Fee structures as well as a major incentive for Electric Vehicle owners through a 99% discount on Motor Vehicle Tax (MVT).
These initiatives are aimed at simplifying vehicle taxation, encouraging voluntary compliance, promoting environmentally friendly transportation and supporting a modern and efficient tax administration for the benefit of all citizens.
