DNA-based nanobots can kill cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue.

Scientists at Sweden's Karolinska Institutet have developed a DNA-based nanorobot designed to kill cancer cells while leaving healthy tissue largely untouched.

The tiny robot carries a powerful cell-killing molecule, but it remains safely hidden until it encounters the acidic environment surrounding many solid tumors.

Only then does the nanorobot reveal its "weapon" and begin attacking cancer cells.

In laboratory experiments, the researchers showed that the weapon remained inactive under normal conditions but became highly effective when exposed to the lower pH found in and around tumors.

When tested in mice with breast cancer, the nanorobot reduced tumor growth by about 70% compared with an inactive version.

The technology is built using "DNA origami," a technique that folds strands of DNA into microscopic structures capable of carrying out specific tasks.

Researchers say the built-in "kill switch" is designed to reduce damage to healthy cells—a major challenge with many cancer treatments.

The technology is still in the early stages of development and has not yet been tested in humans.

The team now plans to evaluate the nanorobot in more advanced cancer models and investigate ways to make it target specific types of tumors even more precisely.

If future studies prove successful, the approach could open the door to a new generation of highly targeted cancer therapies.

I decided to take this video down today. After months of exchanging comments with Age's Adventures, I would think he would have been a bit more personal in communicating his concerns. I would totally respect that. He said he wanted to be amicable, but he also threatened to copyright strike my channel. I'm well versed in the TOS fair use rules and my content was transformative within the rules, but it's not worth my time and energy to be involved with this kind of negativity. Although he talks in terms of moving forward, I have no interest in covering this person again. I do wish all the best for Age's cancer journey, and I will re-upload tomorrow - minus one. I'm sorry for the inconvenience and thank you all for your continuous outpouring of love and support.
