Katina was one of the first few Killer whales that I was successfully able to identify when I first started becoming interested in Killer whales. There are no amount of words to express how much pain I feel hearing the news of her passing. One thing is certain, Katina's legacy will forever ripple throughout the scientific community and those who are passionate about orcas.
