Damo Mitchell - Lotus Nei Gong

It’s been many years that I have been openly teaching these arts to people around the world. I can safely say that I have been involved in the teaching of many thousands of people during this time.
Whilst it has been fun, I think I am done. I have enjoyed the whole process; the ups and the downs, but now I wish to start to pull back from the public to a certain degree.
For this reason, I shall be teaching no more public events around the world. I shall instead focus my efforts within the academy and continue to work with those students whom I already know .
I have already eased back on public talks on YouTube and have consolidated social media down to just Instagram where I shall still chuck stuff as it comes into my head! But my open public events and retreats are over for the foreseeable future. There are still many other teachers within Lotus Nei Gong you may study with; all people I have taught, but I will not be available for teaching outside of the academy which will become the place where I focus my efforts.
This decision is because I am at a stage where I no longer wish to teach the basics of these systems, nor do I wish to help people in the early stages of their journey. I have passed on the methods to many other skilled teachers out there in the world and so people may contact these fine folks for help on their path.
I have my main project in Bali that I am still engaged with and I shall stick with it until I have seen it to completion; after that, I shall move somewhere quieter and spend most of my time focused upon my own cultivation as well as working closely with seniors.
I am posting this as I am contacted regularly by people around the world seeking tuition from me and so I want to make clear that it is the other teachers within my school you should visit as I am at a stage in my life where I wish to walk back from all that.
I actually feel like my obligation to teaching has pretty much been fulfilled and so, on to other things!

An announcement:

I said that I would complete 50 episodes of this series of the Podcast and then relook at what I was doing but actually, there will be 51 episodes in this bunch as there are still three yet to upload.
After this, I shall take a break from podcasting for around a year or so whilst I focus on other projects.
If I drop anything onto Youtube in this time, it may be the occasional random video but longform style talks will end for a while.
I will instead be spending my time on producing material and teachings for the students within my school.
More recent episodes will remain on YouTube whilst the older podcast episodes can be found on podcast apps rather than on here :)

This is a fairly comprehensive look at what can go wrong in Qigong practice from the point of view of a non-practitioner of Chinese medicine (we have a separate course for medical practitioners) and so not should be helpful for most people with a background in Qigong.

Note that we had to edit out around 3 hours of footage from the original course as it was either inappropriate material or Damo telling bad jokes and stories. But we managed to keep all the relevant information!
