With the Pendor campaign lost, we have to start a new one tomorrow. Which mod should I pick?

RIP PENDOR CAMPAIGN 😭

Literally THE ONE THING I did not back up properly it seems, was the save file for the Pendor campaign on which I've played every friday for the past 4 MONTHS. I'm so fu****g mad, I remember EXPLICITLY going into documents/WSE2/savegames or whatever the path was, taking the save file, and putting it in a new "game saves" folder for my backups, knowing I could put it back into the correct path after reinstalling the game on my new PC.

My theory is that I was working on a bunch of different drives at the same time while prepping the PC, and I must've created this folder, not in the external hard drive for backups, but into my secondary drive on the PC, which of course, was formatted after being ported to the new computer. So basically I just created a backup save from one internal drive to another, without ever putting it on the external hard drive.

I checked all my drives, I can't find the save anywhere. It's gone.

As frustrated as I was at times because of how grindy and stuck I felt, we had made genuine progress, we had some fun, and I had my heart set on conquering the whole continent, and using the footage for a retrospective review of the mod afterwards. Without the save, I still have all the live clips I can use to document the overall experience, but there's no way of resuming it. I'd have to start a whole new campaign, which, even if I did in my own time, to try and bring myself back as much as possible, would take several dozen hours at least.

RIP Skylar, Grandmaster of the Rangers of the Clarion Call Knighthood, Empress of the growing Pendoran Empire, friend of the Noldor and Nemesis of the Jatu. She made it as far as day 648, probably one of, if not the longest Warband campaign I ever had.

I'm truly sorry to anyone who tuned in and was excited to see the rest, no one is more pissed at my own screw up than me.

I succeeded in my first build ever! Archduke-II is fully operational.

AMD Ryzen 7 98003XD, 8 cores, 4.7 Ghz
RTX 5070
32 GB DDR5
2 TB SSD + 4 TB HDD (actually ported from Archduke-I because AI bubble prices)

As happy as I am to show it off, the truth is it's more about future-proofing than anything else; the first PC was an absolute war machine of its own time, but it was definitely going to struggle if I actually started making content for the channel on more recent games. There was an increasing risk of hardware incompatibiliy; I remember upgrading to windows 11 and having to bypass some stuff cause otherwise the CPU wasnt compatible.

More crucially, AI data centers are buying up all the hardware, effectively destroying gamers' ability to get their own PC. Most of the hardware in here, especially the ram and GPU, were way more expansive compared to just last fall, and it keeps getting worse. My PC part picker list is already several hundred dollars more from when I ordered everything 2 weeks ago.

With where the world's headed, this PC might just be my last before the "you will own nothing and be happy" era fully takes over. So here's to it lasting me a very long time, and more content on newer games!

NEW HUGE VIDEO JUST DROPPED, looking at all the latest mods and updates for Warband in 2026! https://youtu.be/-oz-1FmIjT0

This also marks the final video I edit on my current war machine, which I had built back in 2017. Next week I'm assembling my new PC for the next decade, and I'm hoping to make new, better content with it!

Also I'll be live tomorrow, continuing my conquest of Pendor. See you then!

LIVE IN 20 MINUTES: youtube.com/live/UD9pHBJr_eA?feature=share

After the gruelling siege from last week's stream, the kingdom of Ravenstern has fallen. Today we're hoping the many lords without lands will join our ranks, at which point we should have an unstoppable army to take the rest of Pendor.

Hey everyone! Just a quick update on the next video, working title: Warband Mods in 2026.

The release will be delayed by another week as I need to focus on other stuff this week.

On a (somewhat) brighter note, I'm actually waiting for an estimate on a new PC build tomorrow. I was initially planning for a new PC in Spring 2027, when RAM prices were projected to stabilize, but now those same projections are showing 2028, and many argue that in a year's time, if the AI bubble hasn't popped, things might be even more expansive than they are now, and prices aren't likely to ever go back to pre-AI data center garbage.

So assuming I can afford the current price, this new war machine will give me more options for content, especially when it comes to more recent games. I'll be able to livestream Bannerlord (which currently has been very laggy, my PC can play it just fine but adding streaming on top is too much), and perhaps even KCD 2 which I got for my birthday!

Regardless I'll be back for the weekly Pendor campaign as usual. See you then!

Live in 1 hour! youtube.com/live/wPI2Tm_5qgo?feature=share

After countless sessions of insufferable grind, we now have a strong faction, several lords, and tons of freshly conquered fiefs ready to be gifted.

Objectives in today's stream: hopefully get some new vassals for all these new lands, and with a stronger army than ever, slowly take on the task of bulldozing through the rest of Pendor. Stay awhile and listen!

Average Pendor fanboys when you say that a mod doesnt need to be THAT grindy:

Fun fact: my mom created a steam account a few years back just so she can buy me games for my birthday. And now at 30, I'm feeling quite hungry!
