Hi guys, I’m really excited about a video we are posting tomorrow morning at 9 AM. It is going to walk you through the first 10 calves that were born here on the farm this year!
Here is a little sneak peek!
This is Mason, and he was born out in the snow and ended up in a little makeshift hot tub so that we could warm him up to get him to stand and nurse.

Some of our favorite photos of Mattie 🤍
From the day she arrived here, to the years in between, to this past winter… she was steady, gentle, and such a special part of this farm. These photos don’t just show how she grew — they show how much she meant to all of us along the way.
Mattie welcomed a beautiful calf, Emily, but we lost her during calving despite doing everything we could to save her. It’s never easy to share moments like this, but we wanted to honor her and the life she lived here with us.
If you didn’t see this morning’s video, we shared more of her story there, and we’ll have a more detailed video on our YouTube this Friday.
Mattie gave us so many quiet, beautiful moments over the years, and we’ll always be grateful for that. She was deeply loved, and she always will be.
