One of my favourite creators, @blumineck does a bunch of really cool archery stuff. Two things in particular have sparked my interest:
1. Hawkeye comes up A LOT. Great, I love marvel BUT please remember that he has a special bow and arrows designed by Tony stark to be more durable and sharp
2. In one video about music and archery my mythology brain went *ping* and I realised that a lot of these themes and similarities may come from Apollo, the god of music, archery and the sun (among other things) Also that modern depictions of archers (Hawkeye again) tend to be jokey and lighthearted, protective of people they’re close to, and very smoochy with the bros, again like modern depictions of Apollo.
In short: Apollo and Hawkeye are really cool and basically just DND Bards.
I hate when people are like “What’s your OTP?” Like no, I don’t have one, it’s any gay ship with an insecure/depressed/pessimistic brunet and the one person he loves more then anything and can actually make him happy, aka his golden retriever blond boyfriend
