Today, I went to one of my good good girlfriends daughters Tea Party Themed baby shower. Regan is such a sweet young Queen, I’ve been knowing her since she was a baby. It’s so nice to be invited to the younger generations milestones because some of them forget about you. I definitely enjoyed myself.

Today marks 9 years that I’ve been in business. For those of you who know, I started my business 10-16-2016 as the first in my town to open up a Beauty Supply/ Beauty Salon. This is a photo college of the Grand Opening, I was surrounded by my family and friends, it was an amazing feeling.
Fast forward, I currently do hair in my shop but I had to let the beauty supply part go because the cost of replacing the supplies became too much and financially I couldn’t keep up. Beauty products change weekly because of social media everyone wants the latest and the supposedly greatest thing and that cost money for the store owner. I say all of this to say, I kept this business going for 4 years and then COVID hit and I had to make a decision, either sink or swim. I chose to swim ( even though I can’t swim in real life 🙃) and that’s when I started making sublimation garments and things, then I bought a cricut cutting machine to make t-Shirt designs. I eventually taught myself how to sew and embroider and now I am here.

This is a long post and it might not be in the best format, however, I said all of this to ENCOURAGE, and MOTIVATE someone! Keep going, NEVER GIVE UP, learn to PIVOT, if you need to! Success doesn’t happen overnight for most people, you have to work hard and consistently to get the results you want. This ENTREPRENEURSHIP thing is not a race, it’s a journey! YOU either IN for the long haul or YOU OUT.
