Even with one eye, this white tiger's gaze is captivating 🐅

I was lucky enough to encounter this magnificent creature at West Midlands Safari Park and it truly took my breath away.



Despite its unique appearance, this tiger exuded strength, beauty, and grace, reminding me that true power comes from within.



This was my first major trip with the Fujifilm X-T5 and I paired it up with the 70-300mm lens and 1.4x Teleconverter which gave me enough extra reach that capturing these shots was a breeze.



Let this photo serve as a reminder to always appreciate the beauty of nature and the diversity it brings to our world.

Happy World Wildlife Day everyone! 🐦🌍

I recently visited Birdland in Bourton-on-the-Water and captured some amazing shots of the feathered residents there. I'm thrilled to share them with you all on this special day, celebrating our incredible wildlife.

These shots were taken with my brand new Fujifilm X-T5 camera (video coming soon), paired with the 70-300mm lens and the 1.4x Teleconverter. I'm really impressed with the quality and detail I was able to capture - this setup is definitely a game-changer for my photography!

Let's use this day to remember the importance of protecting and preserving our planet's wildlife. We can all do our part to make a positive impact, even if it's just through appreciating the beauty of nature around us. 📸🦉🦜🐥

Merry Christmas to all!


I'm about to log off for Christmas, so I won't be around again until Tuesday but...



I wanted to take a moment to wish each and every one of you a very happy and joyous day tomorrow. May your celebrations be filled with love, laughter, and lots of cheer, surrounded by your loved ones.

To add to the festive spirit, I wanted to share a special photo I took of a robin perched on a snow-covered pot. It was a cold and snowy day, but the robin braved the weather to add a pop of colour to the winter wonderland.

Time stands still as I capture the majesty of Mother Nature in this long-exposure waterfall shot from the heart of Wales!

This was the first outing for my new filters from K&F Concept Pro Square Filters and I absolutely love them...



These are an excellent choice for photographers looking to take their long exposures to the next level. With their ultra-diameter and ultra-thin design, they effectively reduce the possibility of vignetting when using ultra-wide-angle lenses, making them perfect for capturing stunning landscapes and cityscapes.



You can pick up the whole kit for around £270, which is much cheaper than some of the competitors... And yet, the colour cast is minimal and the quality is excellent. I'm ever so pleased with the kit and I'm really pleased with this waterfall image as well.

It's clearly that time of year again as we have had a squirrel visit the garden today.

It's been a frustrating day. I went out to shoot a video, only to find my vlogging camera's battery (which I can't change) has died and won't charge.



So, I'm looking for a camera to replace it and I don't have any actual money, so it looks like we're going to have to sell some kit. It's a bit of a disappointment...



But, that's been a theme for this year... It's been a bit of a disappointment. Lots of downs and not many ups.

However, I don't want to dwell on that. This is a setback, it's not a disaster.



So, when I came home today, I was thrilled to see this squirrel sitting on the fence. I already had my 70-300mm lens on and it just did the job, like it always has done.



I'm really thrilled with how it's turned out, for a quick shot and I was really lucky that the sun was giving him that halo light as well.

It is with a heavy heart that I‘m writing this. Last night, after a short illness, my father passed away.

We are both devastated.

Since I’ve had some business problems, all my attention has been focused on that, and I’ve had little time for photography.

But, this week, I am in Cornwall on a holiday where all we intend to do is take photos.

We had quite a day, with a long car journey down in varying degrees of fog, mist, rain and encroaching darkness. This was not an auspicious start to the week but things soon picked up.

Arriving at Padstow, we made our way to Rick Stein’s Fish & Chip takeaway and had a very pleasant “Cod & Chips twice,” which filled us up for the rest of the day.

A short walk around Padstow and we headed to the accommodation, which is lovely. And, as we were leaning for a shopping trip, the cloud finally broke.

Grabbing our cameras, we headed off to Trevose Head, which boasts a lovely little lighthouse looking out to sea. We were rewarded by a spectacular sunset & some amazing cloud formations.

What an end to a first day.

Waking up this morning, I see the grey has returned but, if all we get on this holiday are the shots from last night; it will be worth it.

Hello folks!

I know you were expecting a video from me today and that video is in the can, ready to be edited but I’m afraid something rather major happened to me this week and I’m having to take a step back from everything else to focus on my business.

I’ll likely make a video about this in due course, but it’s been a rather tough week and I’m still working. It’s been a 18-hour days all week for me, which is taking its toll.

I hope you’re all well and, with any luck, I shall see you sometime during next week for another video.

This is the last of my tree photos and possibly the best of the lot.



I wanted to load all of the interest onto the left of the photo so that you can see the relationship of the tree to the landscape in full.



The tree stands alone, and in all the time I spent with it, people would come up, admire the tree and leave.



It might be a tree standing on its own, but it's far from lonely.

I was really lucky to get the sun in this position, sat just under the branch of the tree as it was setting.



This was my favourite view for a long time and it was a really special evening. I often get excited about the shots I take but the combination of the right lens, the right weather and the setting sun gave me an amazing experience.



What I like about this photo is the frame-like quality of the tree branches, which give an ideal ‘frame’ for the sun.



The shape of the tree is also very distinctive and almost drawing a line that brings your eye into the shot.



It was taken with a wide lens, which means everything was pretty much in focus from front to back making it more interesting and full of life.



Using more zoom would have taken away from the relationship between foreground and background.



I'm thrilled with this one, and the one I have coming up on Friday.
