This year, I did first steps on building my personal brand, and it’s been a rewarding journey as in 2024, I:
📺 Launched my personal website and YouTube channel.
👨‍🏫 Had over 1,000 people from 108 countries complete my courses on Udemy.
📚 Sold over 150 printed and hundreds of electronic books on Amazon.
📈 Saw engagement on LinkedIn grow by thousands of percent.
It’s a great start, and I’m excited for what’s ahead

I'm not an expert in the #HORECA industry or fan of #Starbucks, but the recent CEO changes at Starbucks have caught my attention, and I wanted to share my thoughts and hear yours.

In brief, Starbucks appointed Laxman Narasimhan as CEO in October 2022, only to part ways with him in August 2024. During his tenure, he spent six months earning a barista certification. Reflecting on this experience, Narasimhan said:
“Somebody asked me, ‘Why was your training six months long?’ And I said: ‘That’s a very Western way of phrasing the question. If you were Eastern, you would ask: why was it only six months?’ I learned a lot. I think it was a really good push from both Howard and Mellody that I would do that.”
Narasimhan also emphasized employee well-being and work-life balance.

However, the same leadership that endorsed this approach has now replaced him with a new CEO who will reportedly live in California and commute to Seattle three days a week via private jet—raising questions about the alignment between corporate #sustainability goals and executive practices.

While the board likely knows what's best for the business, it’s intriguing to see such a drastic shift from a CEO focused on connecting with employees at all levels to one with a significantly higher salary and a very different lifestyle.
It’s early days, but with the stock trending upwards, perhaps this decision will pay off.
