Happy July, friends! With the weather feeling more like Arrakis with each passing day, Leo and I are spending even more unhealthy amounts of time in the studio cooking up new episodes. Here's what we have in store this month.

We're starting the month off with one of our classic character deep dives, this time into everyone's favorite Naib, Stilgar! There was so much to discuss about this iconic character that we had to split the episode into two, so we hope you're excited for a double serving of Stilgar.

Next, we're coming in hot with a heavy-hitter and finally revealing what we've uncovered from the Frank Hebert Archives at California State University, Fullerton. This first episode will share details about Leo and Luna's trip to the archives and delve into the many rejection letters Frank received in his years-long attempt to get Dune published. And yes, we got our hands on those original letters.

Finally, we'll end the month on a Lost Entries episode. In this series of episodes, we'll reveal the unpublished Dune Encyclopedia entries we discovered in the Fullerton Archives. There are literally dozens of juicy expanded lore details that Willis McNelly cut from the final publication of the Encyclopedia, and we're excited to share them with all of you exclusively on the podcast.

Buckle up, folks. This month is going to be HOT, literally and metaphorically.

Happy June, friends! As the weather warms up, be mindful of your water discipline, and don't forget to wear sunscreen. We've got a particularly exciting month of Dune coverage ahead with the long-awaited release of the survival MMO game Dune: Awakening!

As you can see on the calendar, we're wrapping up our Dungeons of Dune D&D campaign with Noah at the start of the month. We've heard your incredibly positive feedback about this series and can assure you that this won't be the last you'll hear from Ziggy and Rozhok.

Next, we have a couple weeks of exciting Dune: Awakening coverage, starting with our interview with Creative Director Joel Bylos! Then we'll live stream our review and lore analysis of the game that weekend. Keep an eye on Discord for opportunities to group up with us in the game and join our guild!

Finally, we'll be wrapping up the month with two unique episodes we've been teasing for a while. Our exciting audio drama adaptation of one of our favorite chapters in God Emperor of Dune will be released on the 27th, followed that weekend by a live stream of our first episode about what we've uncovered in our deep research of the Frank Herbert Archives from Leo and Luna's visit to California State University, Fullerton.

Oh, and if you're wondering when the Chapterhouse: Dune Book Club begins, we can confirm that it will kick off in August. We'll announce a more concrete date once we've finalized the schedule.

See you all on the desert sands of Arrakis in Dune: Awakening!

Happy February! Is that love in the air or just some spice melange I smell?

We have an exciting and packed month of episodes, and we hope you're looking forward to diving in. As you can see on the calendar, we're continuing our read-through of Heretics of Dune and releasing a character deep-dive on Emperor Shaddam IV Corrino!

In addition, we'll livestream our recordings of Heretics of Dune (Part 14) and Sisterhood of Dune on YouTube exclusively for patrons! We'll share those private links in Discord and post the streams on Patreon, so keep an eye out.

So, if you plan on participating in those streams, make sure you've completed the assigned reading in Heretics of Dune and read through the entirety of Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. Or you could just not read Brian's book and listen to our scathing breakdown!

Here's to another great month of our Golden Path! Do you have any romantic plans?

Happy New Year! We hope you all had a relaxing end of year and caught up on some sleep (perhaps thanks to Leo's amazing sleep story).

The Gom Jabbar production team is back to work this week and gearing up for another great year of podcasting, book clubbing, and Dune fandom. The theme for our team in 2025 is "experimental." We're hoping to create content we've never tried and push the boundaries of what this show and this community can be, all while celebrating and immersing ourselves further in the Dune universe!

Leo's sleep story is just the tip of the iceberg, a gentle dip of our proverbial toe in the lake of creative possibilities. At our 2025 planning meeting, for example, the team threw around words like "short stories," "audio dramas," and "D&D campaign," just to name a few. We'll share more details in the weeks and months to come.

Of course, the things you love about Gom Jabbar, like our book clubs, lore deep dives, and character analyses, aren't going anywhere. We'll finish our read of Heretics of Dune this spring and dive into Frank Herbert's final novel in the Dune Saga, Chapterhouse: Dune, later this year. We have plans for episodes on iconic characters like Shaddam IV and Alia Atreides, plus we'll continue unpacking all of the dense philosophy and ever-pertinent themes woven into the DNA of Frank Herbert's stories.

Your generous support has made all of this possible, and we cannot thank you enough. There are so many things to be excited about as a Dune fan, and we can't wait to celebrate it all with our amazing community.

Here's to another great year of our Golden Path.
