UPDATE: The "German Gills Show" is BACK! 🧤⚽️🔵⚪️

I have some great news to share. Our latest episodes of "The German Gills Show" have been fully restored to YouTube!

What is most important is that YouTube restored these videos "independently" almost immediately after I contested them. This is a massive result because it means the platform (or the league) manually reviewed the content and recognised that the format, with its analysis and reaction, is a legitimate, transformative work.

The copyright strikes have been completely removed and the channel is back in "Good Standing." After a professional contest and outreach, the manual strikes were resolved and the claims were released.

I want to give a massive shoutout to all of you for the support and messages over the last few days. The Gills community is truly the best and your encouragement kept me going while I sorted this out.

The show is officially here to stay and we are back in the clear.

Update from German Gills🧤⚽️

You might have noticed that the latest episodes of The German Gills Show covering the Swindon vs. Gillingham match are currently offline on YouTube.

Unfortunately, the channel has been hit with unexpected manual copyright strikes from the EFL enforcement team. After 6 years of building this community and focusing on transformative commentary, this is a shock. To clarify, this is only affecting the YouTube channel at the moment — our TikTok, Twitter, and Instagram pages remain untouched (for now).

I am currently in the process of contesting the strikes and have already reached out to the EFL and Gillingham FC to clear this up. It seems we are navigating some new 2026 red tape, but I am doing everything possible to protect the channel.

Regarding this Sunday’s game at Notts County: I want to be upfront that there may not be a regular video for this one. I need to ensure the channel’s safety and wait for the current appeals to progress before uploading more match footage. I will keep you all updated as soon as I know more!

Thank you for the incredible support. The German Gills Show isn’t going anywhere — we’re just dealing with a bit of a "technical foul" at the moment!
