I created this community to share my love of sacred music; I want it to be accessible, down-to-earth and moving. Sacred music is an extension of our faith, our trust in God: it can comfort us, give us joy, and bring us together. It's not a performance, it's a community. I also share outtakes 🤪, cats and Star Wars/Trek stuff. 😆

Good morning friends! I'm leaving for another retreat this afternoon, but have already recorded a hymn to upload for Sunday.
For today, I recommend this happy, uplifting hymn that I will be singing at my parish on Sunday. I found this version online, and I just love this cantor's voice! Enjoy and I'll "see" you Sunday!

Hello everyone! I know it's been a full week of no posts, and I'm very sorry! It's been busy, but wonderful, and now I am cozy in my retreat room for tonight. I started a new position on Monday and this weekend there's a retreat for the team at the most beautiful Jesuit retreat center in Quebec. I will take pics of the cafeteria and chapel tomorrow, they are so conducive to reflection and prayers of gratitude. I'll be posting a hymn again soon though, I am committed to this community. 🥰

Hello everyone! Last night was my daughter's school's Fun Fair that I coordinated. It was so much fun! That's my daughter getting ice cream from the ice cream truck. So today we're off to a local agricultural fair with our friends, then tomorrow morning we're doing a 5K fundraising run (most likely "walk"!!!) But when we get home tomorrow I will upload a hymn, it's already learned! So, happy feast of Corpus Christi, and I'll "see" you tomorrow!

Good morning! My apologies for being absent this past Sunday, it was a busy, but lovely, Mother's Day weekend. I got to see my own Mom twice! She came to Mass with us, and I sang the Ave Maria, which she hadn't heard me sing for a very long time. (Decades possibly!) I have a few clips I will upload later. For now, here's a pic of what I'm working on, Book #9! I started proofreading it last week, and have one week left to have it all completed. It's another amazing read for my faith. Have you ever read anything by St. Alphonsus Liguori? Or anything about St. Bridget's experiences?

Have sat down now after day 2 of spring cleaning around the house. My back hurrrrts but it feels good to go through things and deep clean. All those stuffed toys were in two drawers under my daughter's bed, a few got culled for donation, but she's sentimental about the rest! Once her room is cleaned those stuffies will go back under her bed! 😁
Sooooooo... My apologies that I didn't get the chance to sing today; but I'm sure you're relieved to hear that I'm cleaning up around here! 🥰

It's a beautiful combination of Jonathan singing favourite sacred pieces, personal interviews with well-known priests and religious, and more. The highlight for me is hearing him sing in beautiful churches, with excellent lighting - it's so full of peace and beauty! You can watch short or long-form episodes on his YouTube channel, or on YesTV if you are able to access that cable channel. There is also a lot more to know about Jonathan that you can read on his website, he has albums for sale, upcoming live concerts, and more biographical information including how he got involved with Daily Mass.
