What's one nutrition belief you used to have... that you no longer believe?

I'll go first:

I used to think healthy eating meant eating low-fat.

Foods I stopped eating when I got pregnant.

Not because someone told me to. Because I actually looked at the ingredients.

Store-bought bacon? Sugar and nitrates. Random seasonings? Sunflower oil hiding in plain sight. That "healthy" vitamin D milk? Fillers I didn't ask for.

Now it's meat, eggs, butter, raw dairy, a small amount of fruit, and the occasional ferment. Simple.

What did you cut out when you started reading labels? 👇

Curious what everyone here leans toward lately:

No judgment at all—just genuinely curious where people are at right now.

32 weeks pregnant and still thriving on a meat-based diet. ❤️

Most days I'm eating very close to carnivore, with small amounts of fruit and fermented foods here and there. I'm still enjoying all kinds of meat and dairy, and raw dairy continues to be a favorite.

One of my biggest cravings this pregnancy has actually been lamb—especially lamb loin chops! I've also been eating plenty of eggs, beef, and some organs.

We recently purchased a half cow and were able to keep a variety of organs. I've been processing and packaging them myself and incorporating a little each week. On the days I don't get fresh organs in, I take Her Package from Heart & Soil as an extra nutritional safety net.

Thankfully, I haven't experienced any meat or egg aversions during pregnancy, and my energy has remained consistently strong. As we enter the home stretch, I feel incredibly grateful for how this pregnancy has gone so far.

Above all, I thank God for this baby, for my health, and for helping me be a good steward of both my body and my baby's body throughout this journey.

My focus will continue to be on nutrient-dense foods first—meat, eggs, dairy, and organs—and then adding in any extras as needed.

Thank you all for following along and supporting me during this season of life. We can't wait to meet this little one. (Well we can, whenever the baby is ready of course) ❤️
