I've just uploaded the 26th episode of the Grand Tour of Switzerland series. This time, it was an uphill trip to a small village of Obermutten with gorgeous views. They have a really special church, made completely from the wood from nearby larches.

I returned yesterday from two weeks long trip, visiting one of the bucket list destinations : Greenland.
We traveled on the sailing boat in Eastern Greenland, in the area of Ammassalik, with arctic experts from Go West Sailing. And it was absolutely breathtaking... Remote fisherman villages 🎣, mountains 🏔️, glaciers 🧊 and whales 🐳.

I've collected almost 600 GB of material, so it will take some time to process it, but wanted to share at least few pictures.

The barrels and old cars are from an abandoned US military base from WWII, which was used as a refueling stop for the flights between US and Europe. And the gun was as a last resort defense against polar bears, which we (un)fortunately haven't seen...

Just few weeks ago I've returned from an amazing trip to Lofoten Islands in Norway. The bucket list item was to see once Lofoten in summer, and hopefully with midnight sun. And I'm so glad that it all worked out! 🍀

The longer videos from Lofoten trip will come later, but I wanted to share with you the experience of midnight summer... All shots in the following video were done after midnight and the sun was still magically hanging there 😎

And the thumbnail photo is almost exactly at the midnight local time at one of the iconic bridges in Fredvang, Lofoten.

Sometimes you find magical places not so far from your home... Just an hour's drive from Zürich is Klöntalersee with turquoise water and steep mountains above it. And on the weekdays, you can continue on the small road, which is open only for bicycles on the weekends, towards the Pragelpass.

I made a mistake in my last video, and in several places, I called the waterfall Geissbach instead of the correct Giessbach 🤦🏻‍♂️ Big thanks go to ‪@SylviaMichelPhotography‬ , a truly local expert, for bringing it to my attention that the waterfall is not called Goat waterfall 🐐😂

Also, as the footage for the video is primarily from October 2023, surprisingly, Sylvia told me that the Grand Tour of Switzerland Photo Spot is not standing there anymore... 😢

But it is still an absolutely stunning place, and I hope you will enjoy the video...

I posted yesterday my first ever HDR video... I was always curious how is it done, and it is surprisingly not difficult, it just need the project to be edited and color graded in the wide color gamut. I've picked up Rec 2020 HLG (Hyper Local Gamma) as it seems the easiest one to work with. Surprisingly, it takes YouTube extra several hours to process HDR. It first publishs 4K version and few hours later it creates HDR version.

The colors are little bit too saturated, but it was just a first experiment 🎨😀.

I know, for a long time, I did not post a new video, but this weekend, finally, I will have a new episode of the Grand Tour of Switzerland series. This time, we will visit the Engadin Valley when larch trees are turning gold and get closer to Piz Bernina, the only 4000+ meters high mountain in the region.
