I hope you all are having a good new years so far, mine has been fine so far, especially since its my 22nd birthday, it always feels nice when you've grown a year older.

But this isn't just about age, its also about learning and growing. I made a post on bluesky shortly before taking my leave with it, because although I've only been on it for a year, and I haven't been on it as much as Twitter, I don't I needed to be on social media, especially when I have to improve on making sure my mental state is well balanced.

If you've followed my bluesky and have read the pinned post, I hope you all understand why, and I hope this doesn't mean I'll stop making content, but I need to have that perfect balance between my online life and my offline life.

You guys have a wonderful new years day, and I hope it'll go better than mine, but I hope with what I've learned from last year and the year before that the rest of the year for me will be good too.

It's been a year since I made this, and needless to say, It's still something I'm proud of, despite it being on a similar length as my other videos. It is still the most viewed video on the channel and combined with the song choice I made, as well the incredibly fluid animation I did, I feel like it deserved that title, and I couldn't thank you all for giving this video as much support as you can.

Now on to why I'm making this post, as I'm sure some of you may know what I'll be addressing here.

Many of you since I uploaded the video have wanted a full version of this song, and anytime I see that, I feel quite conflicted. However, before animating this, I was thinking about how an SMG4 fan animation of this song would visually look like, as some of the shots I did here were based on my imagination, and I was happy to have brought that to life.

But as for the question of whether or not I should do a full version of it, I honestly don't know. I'd love to make an extended version of what you all saw, but as I've said time and time again, ANIMATION IS HARD AND TAKES TIME. In fact, I only realized after seeing the people who work on SMG4 talk about how they're only doing all of their animations alone without any help, so I already see their situation as I'm technically having the same issue myself.

That being said, I cannot say no to you all, and just to assure you, that Idea isn't going anywhere, but I'm exactly sure when I'll even do it, but I promise you I'll let you know in the future, as I have plans for long formed content for next year, hopefully it'll make my channel grow and be successful.

That is all I gotta clear up, I hope you all understand why I didn't answer this sooner, I'm not so used to making long videos, but I'm trying to work hard on that, and once again, I'm really excited to show you all what those videos will be.

If you've seen my old channel, you would see that I've been doing media reviews, and I haven't been doing them since 2023. That isn't to say I've lost my touch doing them, they just became a lot less fun to make just analyzing media in general. But recently, I was sort of thinking of wether or not I should get back into it. I haven't fully made up my mind yet, and I'm not gonna tell you guys to make a decision for me. However, I do have a few video Ideas planned, and If i do confirm that I am making review content again, There's going to be one likely released this year. Of course that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop making animations, as that is something I still enjoy making and It's gotten me more attention than my review content, but considering the following I have now, I am curious If there is a certain group in that subscriber count that enjoys media reviews that they'd like to see one from me some day. I guess we'll have to wait and see If I'll end up committing to it.

I wanted to make a community post pertaining to what used to be a 1 month absence now being extended to 3 in content creation all together, and I do believe you’re all owed an explanation for all this.

It all started back in the end of March where I just got done celebrating a holiday with my family, I wanted to go back once more into content creation once again, but something inside me had this feeling when re-visiting a childhood property that made me pursue an interest in not only character design, but also 3D modeling and rigging, and considering that it’s been over a year since I’ve dedicated an entire channel to animation creation, I figured i could expand on my skills a little more.

Unfortunately, this has put my channel into hiatus for quite some time now, and I feel kind of bad for leaving it like this. It’s just that around that hiatus, I not only was too busy doing character design, but I just didn’t have any ideas for videos. Thankfully, I do now, and I'm hoping to keep my channel running again. However, there is one major problem I’m already dealing with.

Around the end of April, my Macbook Pro broke down, and to make a long story short, I accidentally pressed the screen too hard, and It was all my fault, and I’m still struggling to get it fixed as we speak, but despite the part where It’s my fault, I’m still frustrated that there isn’t any other way my family and I can get it repaired unless we paid them an insane amount of money, so needless to say, the chances of getting my macbook fixed entirely are a bust.

As I’m typing this, I’m currently using my once father’s computer, and I’m trying to make it into mine, and while it may not be as entirely as fast as my apple, It still more often than not gets the job done, as it can also run softwares that couldn’t do so on my mac, so there is a chance that you will see a video where I use Saturn for the N64 models, so that’ll be cool to see.

If there’s one thing that I can take away from this hiatus is that It was able to improve on my mental health a lot, not so much to where I’m fully recovered from what i experienced last year, but I just feel so relieved to be in a place where I don’t need to have panic attacks everyday or just live in a world of paranoia, even though back then, It hasn’t stopped me from producing content, but it acted as more of a compulsion to distract myself of how overwhelmed I was.

So now that you’ve reached the end of this post, you’re probably wondering what the future for this channel will be, simply put I am still gonna be making videos, and I’ll try to be as active as I can, I have an upcoming short that I’ll be releasing sometime soon, although, some of you have already seen it that didn’t go on YouTube.

Another thing is that I’ve been meaning to take a break from working with other channels such as Chrisomatic, not that I don’t enjoy helping him out with the channel or anything, It’s just that, with this new laptop that I’m using, It’ll be a lot harder to gather the resources for the splatoon OC.

Another thing is that back in February, I joined another channel and am helping him out as an animator, unfortunately with some things I have to do, not just with my channel, but also in my personal life, I won’t even be that active in contributing, but It would be rude not to do something that’s beneficial, but just like working with Chrisomatic, It’ll also be hard to gather the assets for his characters, but I’m hoping it’ll be solved sooner than later.

That is all for this update. I really am sorry if taking a hiatus made it seem like I didn’t care about you guys or the content I made, because even though It’s been quite a lot on me, especially since the beginning, this year so far has been ok. I’m not expecting it to be perfect by the end, but anything that doesn't make my heart beat every hour of every day is fine by me. When it comes to good things regarding my mental well-being, I’ll take whatever I can get.

Look forward to what I have in the future, I’ll be sort of experimenting with different properties aside from SMG4, even though it’s the main reason why I get a lot of views and subs.
