Welcome to the Y2K historical research and preservation museum of mp3.com tracks that won't show up on Shazam. Sourcing and posting since 2010!

Here you'll find a collection of music from the original mp3.com electronic library. It's generally been considered "lost" since the 2004 rebrand. However, access is now restored to the library's final days. This is in addition to many years of internet scraping, google dorking, and user contributions. Legend has it that old spindles of original mp3.com CD-Rs and D.A.M. CDs are hidden away all over the Earth awaiting discovery. The posts here generally range from 1998-2003, give or take a few years occasionally. Make sure to save the Mp3.com radio playlist for regular updates. Play on shuffle for the best experience.

The underground sounds of the terminal 20th century zeitgeist await your ears. Truly the end of an era...

This is a 100% non-monetized channel that exists for historical preservation purposes.

Posting this for artists who would like their tracks removed from my tiny curated sound museum:

Send an email, and WAIT for a response. I generally check the email ONCE A MONTH. You aren't being ignored.

I recently had a gagman artist named Nick Gagne send an email request to remove one of his songs, followed up with a YouTube takedown request shortly thereafter. I LUCKILY checked in and saw both messages within the 7-day delete period. Otherwise, this would have been an account strike. I've had several artists make requests in the past, and I have GLADLY made the videos private. It's really not a problem. Clearly, Nick did not read the channel description.

There's no revenue being made on my end. This account exists for preservation of generally lost media and the occasional oddity. Sure, I understand some of the artists out there are still active. Just send me an email if there is a problem, and I'll remove it when I read the message.

There's literally been TWO artists behaving this aggressively during the 15 years that the channel has been active. Don't be like this dude putting preservation channels at risk merely for a few paltry non-life-changing ad bucks. We know the industry revenue isn't much, and I'm sorry that it has abused artists in this way. However, that's not an excuse to abuse me especially when I'm fully transparent about the nature of this hobbyist project.

Thank you,
OG
