For me, this genre and this music represents an incredible marriage of history of humanity and technology, I hear a new global sound emerging from the past and as the dreams of the future are poured into the containers of these songs.
I sense the emergence of a new wave of human experience and yet ultimately, the heart of all of this is a journey of love and a very human reality of sensual and sexual desire and connection, i hear the song of the artist and the musical visions of the producers, bringing new techniques into the mix and evolving them.
There is a LOT of built-in digital Krunchiness to this selection, Afrobeats producers like to keep a lot of grit in the silky mixes too...... so pls... Dont shoot the messenger!!!
And in this space age pop music, I sense a spiritual evolution that is calling forth from the melodies and rhythms of our ancestors.
