This is a place where books are loved and discussed. I'm Stella Telleria, and I'm a writer and an avid reader. This channel is all about trying to balance working on my second novel while chipping away at my ever growing TBR pile.
Stella Telleria is an author who's dreamed of stories or has had her nose buried in one her whole life. She likes books with action, a good plot, and characters she'd get into a fight at the pub for. Not that she's a brawler or anything. Unless you think that out-of-print book or vintage piece at the thrift-shop is going home with you instead of her. Then, my friend, the gloves are off.

It's Too Late to Apologize
While this art piece is a year old now, I only discovered it today. This is a confirmed Banksy graffiti art piece many call "The London Tree Mural." Many interpret this as an environmental work of art, but it's more than that. This tree is not dead, it has been pruned, or more accuratley, pollarded. This means that the tree is being cared for as this practice, which has been done since the 1st century BCE, encourages denser growth as apposed to leggy branch limbs that can snap under their own weight over time. This adds irony to the work that most may not realize.
Banksy paints what most consider an "environmental" statement. When in reality his painting guarantees that this tree will be cut back to this point constantly for the art to be seen. This will make what was a once in a while (years) "heavy" pruning to a regular occurrence that may damage the tree if it is not allowed to green up. Oh the irony. Banksy contributing to the thing his work is interpreted to be speaking against. How marvellous it is in its paradox.

About to spend 9 days on the beach reading my nerdy little heart out. Here is the tropical TBR. So excited; can you tell?

Hey Everybody! New video analysis of Cormac McCarthy's Outer Dark is coming soon, but after editing down the footage it was still a whopping 58mins long. Once I whittle this behemoth down to around 30-ish mins, I'll get it out there for ya.

I promised to do a bookshelf tour and I'm going, but I'd like to know what is preferred as I've seen this done a few different ways:

It's Too Late to Apologize
Merry Christmas Everyone. It’s a little late but I just woke up at 4pm as I’ve been working nightshift and I’m working tonight also. Here’s a “morning” coffee for those of us who work in utilities and services that keep homes warm, lights on, water running, and gasoline in cars so people can be with their loved ones. Thank you to those whose jobs run 24hrs. We are all lucky to have you.

Michael K Vaughan threw the gauntlet down over on his channel with a 500 book challenge. I really admire that commitment. I don't have that many books on my TBR so I'm going to do a 250 book challenge. I'm not going to buy another book (except for the ones I've already pre-ordered😅) until I read my 250 book TBR. Wish me luck. I'm going to need it. How big is your TBR? Are you on a buying ban? Has Michael inspired you?

Is anyone taking part in NaNoWriMo this year? I've never been able to take part but I want to shout out my support in a Rob Schneider accent to all those out there slogging away. From my writing desk to yours: You can do it!!!
