Lower Dens
Based out of Baltimore, Maryland, Lower Dens is one of many side projects from singer/songwriter Jana Hunter. Hunter is also joined by guitarist Will Adams, bassist Geoff Graham, and drummer Abram Sanders. Together, the freak folk quartet has a sound that is psychedelic and murky, embodying the experimental nature of the Baltimore music scene with songs that are equal parts reverb-drenched folk and swirling ambience.
Lower Dens
Really pleased to share our new song "I Drive" with you today. Like a lot of queer and trans people, I've learned that real family is made, and it isn't necessarily blood. Even my blood relatives, we work for that familial connection and trust. This song is about leaving behind obligations to people who don't love or care about you, being with and about people who do. It's a feeling so strong it's driving me. That's the driving I'm doing. From our forthcoming album The Competition, out September 6th via @ribbonmusic.
