Lisa and Richard started sailing together in 2018. You might find them sailing pretty much anywhere on the East Coast or driving around the US filming beautiful things and people and catching some news as well.
It had always been Lisa's dream to sail around the world, but other dreams took precedence for a while. They started making this dream a reality in 2019, when they bought a little boat in Onekema Michigan in January, a 1988 Hunter 26.5 they named Mary Geri. When Covid hit they decided it was time to retire and start sailing full time. They spent the summer of 2020 sailing the Great Lakes. Returning to Detroit that fall to get their house ready to put on the market, they began searching for a full time live aboard boat. That boat was Wind Gypsy, a 1981 S2 11 A in Traverse City. They sold Mary Geri, and brought Wind Gypsy home to Detroit.
