I share video experiences of audio in an ENGAGING and WELL MADE WAY. I don't believe Hi-Fi should be presented in a solely technical and perfunctory way, because HiFi is a means to an end of faithfully produced music and music is entertainment!
I like to promote the expansion of HiFi to new audiophiles, as well as existing ones, and this is why I make well produced, non alien videos.
I believe that ALL REVIEWS must be comparison based to have value. In this sense I’m a strong proponent of getting to the bottom of products for brands to reach USP’s, and consumers to get you what you want.

Buying hifi this Xmas - my advice
Don’t be a mug about buying hifi this Christmas is my advice. An immutable truth I found with hifi is that much of it is ‘much of muchness’ ie similar quality. That is at least when buying hifi from your dealer in the UK, US or Europe.
In hifi shop dealers and distributors take huge margins and there is a market at present for Chinese and direct sold gear that won’t feature in the local shop that way outperforms your local gear for the same money. I’m not talking of the cheaper Chinese brands but the premium ones. Premium Chinese brands often have a big domestic market so they are less concerned with marketing overseas. It may be more difficult to get the stuff but if you want to save thousands - maybe tell them you want to try it and test it for the sake of a review (you could post it to this channel if favourable), but failing that buy direct on sale and return after very good due diligence. You won’t get that by relying on reviews but speak to those reviewers direct where they are free from commercial considerations to please all brands. Sign up to their patreons. You’ll realise what they say is massively different to the YouTube reviews they do.
If you are the type where you have more money that it doesn’t matter if something is thousands more, then I’m not going to convert you.
Don’t believe many of these reviewers on YouTube - they talk nonsense, they don’t compare, they shill products, they are just in bed with brands on YouTube to make it work. A new word to me - they are what’s called ‘grifters’ ….online influencers who promote products they wouldn’t buy. The worst ones for me are all the usual suspects. But this doesn’t mean their personal private opinions can’t help.
That’s what I would do if I was buying any more hifi……
