I had a strange thought occur to me, and I’ve made a pretty interesting discovery. It seems that very few collectors, if any, do a major comparison between vintage and antique alarms, versus modern alarms. Probably because we as collectors know what we like, but for those who may be new to the hobby, and for those whom may not care, a fire alarm may just be another appliance to them. In light of this, I want to start a series of comparing a vintage or antique fire alarm to a modern alarm. I wanna see how they compare when measured with a decibel reader, and who knows, maybe it will be informational! This will be fun for me, and I bet I’m not alone on this. What are your thoughts?

The fans you see in this photo, are the exact fans that I filmed in this video a couple years ago. I am now the proud owner of them. The Emerson TAT is actually a Canarm Pleasantaire. I called it an Emerson TAT, because the two fans are very similar. Expect a video of the both of them soon!

Hey guys, I want to update you all on my upcoming fan display video, it will have to be postponed until further notice. Life’s been pretty crazy, and I haven’t had enough time to switch out the fans in my display so that I can offer you guys a quality video. I’ll hopefully have it posted soon, I’m just not sure when.
