গল্প: কলার বাগানে মিশন ইম্পসিবল!

একদিন, শহরের ইট-পাথরের দালান-কোঠার মাঝখানে হঠাৎ করেই একটা ব্যতিক্রমী দৃশ্য চোখে পড়ল—সবুজ পাতার ঝোপঝাড়ের মাঝে উঁকি দিচ্ছে একটা বিশাল কলার গুচ্ছ! যেন প্রকৃতির নিজস্ব একটা চমক, শহরের কোলাহল থেকে একটু শান্তির স্পর্শ।

আমার বন্ধুরা আর আমি দাঁড়িয়ে মুগ্ধ হয়ে সেই গাছের দিকে তাকিয়ে রইলাম। “এত বড় গুচ্ছ কলা আগে কখনো দেখেছিস?” রিফাত বলল, চোখে স্বপ্নিল এক ঝলক। “এক কাজ করি,” তৌফিক ফিসফিস করে বলল, “চল, কলাগুলো চুরি করে নিয়ে যাই!”

সবার হাসাহাসি চলল কয়েক মুহূর্ত, কিন্তু এই মজার প্রস্তাব এক সময় আমাদের মাথায় সত্যি চিন্তা ঢুকিয়ে দিল। “আমরা কি পারব?” লাবিব বলল, চোখে একরকম দুষ্টু জ্বলজ্বল ভাব।

পরিকল্পনা শুরু হলো। রিফাতকে পাহারায় রাখা হবে। লাবিব গাছের নিচে থাকবে, আর আমি আর তৌফিক সেই গুচ্ছের দিকে এগোবো।

“তাহলে শুরু করি,” তৌফিক ফিসফিস করে বলল। আমরা সবাই যেন কোনো অ্যাকশন মুভির চোর-ডাকাতের দলে পরিণত হয়েছি। একটু একটু করে কলার কাছে এগোলাম। আমাদের মনে হচ্ছিল, কেউ যেন পেছনে নজর রাখছে। বাতাসে পাতার খসখস শব্দ আমাদের শ্বাস আরও ভারী করে তুলল।

যেই আমরা কলার গুচ্ছ ধরে ফেললাম, তখনই পাশের বিল্ডিং থেকে এক বুড়ো চাচার গলা ভেসে এলো—“ওইহ! কি করতেছো? এ আমার বাগান!”

আমরা থ মেরে গাছের নিচেই দাঁড়িয়ে গেলাম। ভয়ে হাত-পা যেন জমে গেল। “চাচা, একটু ছবি তুলছিলাম...” তৌফিক লজ্জায় মিশে গিয়ে কথাটা বলল। চাচা তখন মুচকি হাসলেন, “তোমাদের কলা চুরি করতে দেখলাম না। তবে ছবি তুলো ঠিক আছে, আর খেতে চাইলে কইবা। নিজ হাতে পেড়ে দিব।”

চাচার কথা শুনে আমাদের লজ্জা লাগলেও হালকা হাসি এলো। চুরি না করে চাচার অনুমতি নিয়ে দুটো কলা নিয়ে খাওয়া হলো।

আমাদের সেই দিনের অ্যাডভেঞ্চার এখনো আমাদের মাঝে হাসির গল্প হয়ে আছে। শহরের মাঝখানে এই ছোট্ট সবুজ স্বর্গ যেন মনে করিয়ে দিল, প্রকৃতির সৌন্দর্য কখনো কখনো সহজেই আমাদের জীবনে মজা আর প্রশান্তি এনে দিতে পারে।

ইলিশ খেতে খেতে ইলিশ নিয়ে অনেক পুরনো কথা মনে পড়ে গেল। গত দুদিন আগে ইলশে গুড়ি বৃষ্টি উপেক্ষা করে সকাল সকার ফিশারী ঘাটে গিয়ে ০৭ টি ইলিশ কিনে আনলাম। সেই ইলিশ ভাজা দিয়ে দুপুরে আহার পর্ব সারলাম। কিন্তু কোথায় সেই ঘ্রাণ, কোথায় সেই স্বাদ ? ছেলেবেলায় বাবা যখন নারায়ণগঞ্জ মাছের বাজার থেকে বড় ইলিশ নিয়ে বাড়ি ফিরত, মা তখন সাথে সাথে কাটা-কুটা সেরে মাছ ভেজে গরম গরম আমাদের পরিবেশন করত। সেই কাটা মাছের রক্তের ঘ্রাণ যেন আজও সুদূর অতীতের রোমাঞ্চকর সময়ের কথা মনে করিয়ে দেয়, সেই ভাজা ইলিশের মৌ মৌ ঘ্রাণে বাড়ি যেন গমগম করত। অনেক দূর থেকে বুঝা যেত এবাড়িতে ইলিশ ভাজা হচ্ছে। আহা! সেই অতীত, সেই মাছ, সেই স্বদ এজীবনে ভুলবার নয়।
ইলিশ এখন ভৌগলিকভাবে বাংলাদেশের পন্য ও সম্পদ।ইলিশ ভোজন বাঙালির রসনা বিলাশে যেন ষোল আনা তৃপ্তির ঢেকুঁর। ইলিশ ছাড়া আজকাল ১লা বৈশাখ যেন কিছুটা অপূর্ণ। ইলিশ মাছ দিয়ে হরেক রকম পদ তৈরী করা বাঙালি রমনীর অন্যরকম শখ- সর্ষে ইলিশ,দই-ইলিশ, ইলিশের রোষ্ট, ইলিশ ভুনা,ইলিশ ভাজা, ইলিশের দোপেয়াজু,ইলিশ পোস্ত, ঝুড়া ইলিশ, ভাপে ইলিশ,ইলিশের ভর্তা, লাউপাতায় ইলিশ, ইলিশের কোফতা, পুদিনা পাতায় ইলিশ,ইলিশের ঝোল আরো কত কি ?
জাতীয় মাছ ইলিশ নিয়ে আছে বিভিন্ন গাল গল্প, কবিতা, স্মৃতিকথা, কাহিনি ইত্যাদি। ছেলেবেলায় দাদীর কাছ থেকে শুনেছিলাম ইলিশ মাছ নাকি গাঙে ডুবে যাওয়া মরা মানুষের গোসত খায়, সেই কাথা শুনে আমার বোন অনেক দিন এ মাছ খাওয়া থেকে বিরত ছিল। সূর্যের সোনালী কিরণ গায়ে লাগতে্ই রুপালী ইলিশোর প্রাণবায়ু বেরিয়ে যায়। পদ্মার ইরিশের স্বাদই আলাদা। চাঁদপুরের ইরিশেরও আছে সুখ্যাতি। তবুও বাজেরে ইলিশের আগুন দাম কিছুতেই কমেনা। ইলিশের দাম কমুক, হোক সহজলভ্য। বাংলার সকল মানুষের ইলিশ ভোজন হোক সুখকর। বাংলার ইরিশের সুনাম ছড়িয়ে পড়ুক দিকে দিকে।
