I remember saying "id never get locs" now look at me (I do miss my curls & afro tho).
My hair journey is very unique. Im gr8full the perms and relaxers didnt touch my scalp. Im proud of myself for loving my hair and its complexities even when others shamed me for it & complained about it. For most, my hair was "never done". I didnt get taught how to care for my hair, cornrow ,style but I started to learn and experiment because this is my crown to wear.
And I wore it--- through the ponytails, the long nights to early am taking out the tiniest plaits, the stress related hairloss, the new hair products , the natural remedies, the humidity, the rain, & the sun dyed stains
