Filming Open Gate in 3:2 with the BMCC6K really suited the architecture, narrow streets and canals and the overall look of the city.

This is not a full review of the camera but my initial thoughts after using it for a few days on that shoot in Iceland.

Needless to say the 17K 65 is an absolute beast and after spending a couple of weeks with it shooting pretty much everyday I can honestly and easily say that I’m very impressed!

Iceland was an incredible (and intense) experience and capturing the raw and unique beauty of that place in that format was definitely a dream project!

I have already made quite a few videos about or with this camera but today I want talk about my experience using it as my main camera over the past 6 months.

As you know I don’t like to rush when I do reviews just so I can give you my honest opinion. What I like what I don’t like about this camera and whether or not I would recommend it.

I will also spend some time to discuss a short documentary I co directed recently where we used two Pyxis with anamorphic zooms!

And I will also talk about the accessories such as the monitor and the cage.
