Jesus Just Left Chicago lesson will come out tomorrow morning! Had a great time learning this one. It has a dropped A string tuning. Drop to G. It helps you get some real swampy vibes. Billy Gibbons is a master at that voodoo stuff. :) He was friends with the Voodoo Chile, after all. Friday is gonna be 7 songs from Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti album. Saturday is gonna be 3 songs by The Eagles (featuring Hotel California - all the sweet acoustic fingerpicking parts) Sunday is looking like either a new one (I'll do a poll!) or AC/DC 5 songs or Jethro Tull 5 songs. Thanks for watching!!!

I just made all of my band's songs available for free download! 39 songs! I started my band Harmonious Junk when I was in James Brown's Soul Generals, touring the world with the Godfather of Soul and his funky ensemble. I was still in the band when I released the first album, Space Cadet. A few years later came Too Cocky In Nagasaki, which featured Fred Thomas of the JBs and James Brown Band, and some songwriting with JB's band members. The 3rd album, Sirens and Pipers followed, and after many years without a release, in 2024 I dropped 5 studio singles and 3 live band tracks. All at the website for free for the first time! No strings attached. Enjoy!

Some people have asked me how I get my tone for these lessons. I use the Logic Pro amp, I just go direct into that with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo Interface. It gets the guitar and the vocal mic at the same time. I'm using a Shure 58 Beta microphone. As you can see, I have basic EQ settings. I do have a slight bit of delay, reverb, and EQ in the Logic Pro program added to the general sound. So I'm using the British Combo, British Amp setting. I found it to be one of the cleanest. I just add Gain depending on how dirty the song is. Doesn't take much. I'll do a video on the pedals I use live, soon. I just use a stock Fender Blues Junior for shows these days. I hope that helps, thanks for watching!
