My biggest flex in life is that I am a child of God!!!!
My entire esteem rests on this, my value, prize, brag, and high shoulder is all on this!
I did not always have a good esteem of myself, I still remember feeling not smart enough, not one of the 'it' people.
I remember going to a particular event as a young teen, and I went to sit at the back because the cool people were at the front!
Then I overheard someone talking about me.
Saying Who is that girl? She is so beautiful, I was shocked because I could not believe the people who were 'cool' in my eyes and I felt i wasn't good enough to sit with,were busy discussing and admiring me!
I did not think I was cool or so amazing.
But....... Somebody say BUT.......
When I found 1 Peter 1:23 accepted and believed that I am a child of God, born of the seed of God! I lost my mind in a good way!!!
Like I am a child of the king of kings.... This means I am a princess of heaven!!!!
You could not tell me anything!!! And still can not tell me anything!!!
I was broke, yet I felt like a superstar!
I would walk to church because I did not have transportation fare, but I knew I was a Royalty......
I had maybe 3 pairs of jeans, but I literally walked into campus feeling like heaven was clapping for me simply because I found out this truth!!!
I am who God says I am! End of story.
The word in 1st Peter 1:3 is the word that made me lose my small mind and gave me the mind of royalty!
I encourage you to go and read 1peter 1:3 and allow it break all the stronghold opinions of others and life experiences have created in your mind.
Are you living your life quietly, and doing your best while minding your own business and the devil and his agent are plotting in one corner to destroy you! Busy hoping to hear bad news about you!
Hear me and hear me well, they that trust in the Lord will never be put to shame!
Here are 3 ways to be ever victorious!
1) Abide in the word of God:
To abide in the word means to keep the word of God in front of your eyes, inside your heart and believe it!
When I face tough seasons, I don't use my strength to fight the situation; rather, I use my strength to abide in the word! As I abide in the word, the word of God that has entered me arises and wins the situation for me.
This is the time to take the word like a doctor's prescription and take it dutifully!
To take it dutifully means to take it when you feel like and when you don't feel like.
The word of God created the whole world! No situation can stand against you successfully when the word of God in your heart is mixed with faith and faith will only come when you abide!
When the word of God in your heart mixes with faith, it becomes like an atomic bomb! So beloved, don't worry about those evil plots against you, be busy loading your atomic bomb! Hallelujah.
Navigating Seasons of darkness Part 1: God has a plot twist to your story
To everyone in a dark season right now, to everyone who has been in a 'dark' season for so long that you can't remember what a season of 'light' feels like.
Hey you...
Moses was in the same situation you have found yourself in; he moved from being a prince to becoming a shepherd who did not have his sheep.
He was basically a handyman for his father-in-law.
He got so consumed by the dark season to the extent that he named his son after the season.
He made the season his identity.
He thought that was his end.
But he was wrong.......
That season was not his end!
God had a new season lurking around the corner, and in the new season, he was going to move from being a handyman to a deliverer of Israel!
God had a plot twist...
He was going to become the one who God was going to use to bring down the biggest army in the world!
He was going to become a warrior leader!
Hey you, I know the season you are in is dark right now, but this is not how your story ends in God's script!
There is a new chapter where light comes!
Don't allow this season to define you; don't name yourself after the season.
This current season is temporary!
Look yourself in the mirror and say these words;
This is not my end.
My best days are ahead.
There is a God-ordained plot twist that changes my story coming in the name of Jesus!
I will not give up!
This dark season is not who I am, there is more to me.
There is light in me!
