Hi everyone! Just popping in here with a couple quick announcements.

1. By popular demand, we now have a Discord server. If you're interested, come hang out. Here's the link: discord.gg/6rCbemyhRy

2. I recently created a Patreon. There's already a bonus section of the new video on there now for patrons of a certain tier. You'll also get access to a private channel of the Discord where you can chat to the other generous people and suggest video ideas.

The videos I create are very time-consuming, especially since I don't work with editors or anything. I also have a separate full-time job, which limits the time I can commit to this project. I'm hoping that Patreon support will allow me to work towards making videos full-time. I don't have any expectations for my viewers to support me financially, but if you have the means and it's something you're interested in doing, this is the place to do it.

I'd like to take a moment to appreciate this large number and everyone who has pressed The Button.

These milestones are entirely arbitrary of course, but they encourage me to keep making stuff. Humans love watching numbers go up, and when those numbers represent people that are interested in the things I'm making, it feels particularly amazing. It's like cookie clicker but every cookie is a thinking, perceiving human being with a vivid inner world. I'm officially halfway to the silver play button plaque, which would be a pretty cool achievement.

I have a very long video in the works that will be released soon. The research and scripting are almost done, so I just need to record the audio and edit. Be on the lookout for it in the coming weeks.
