Akanksha Special School and Bikash Society have shared 25 solution videos, each!

Okay, so what are these organisations? And what are solutions?

First, introductions are in order.
· Akanksha School is dedicated to empowering children with disabilities through creative, practical, and inclusive approaches in education.
· Bikash Society reaches out to support children with disabilities and underprivileged women in rural West Bengal.

And now, what are solutions?
At EnAble India, we believe that there aren't many barriers faced by persons with disabilities that cannot be solved by solutions. And we’ve seen this happen so often! People with disabilities and those in the community regularly come up with innovative ideas, simple, low-cost and low-tech solutions to overcome obstacles in work, communication, travel etc.

And Project Discovery set out to find them! And at it's heart and soul are organisations and innovators like Akaansha Special School, Bikash Society, who are always aspiring to discover, create, and share these assistive solutions with us, and through us, the whole world! These solution videos get documented, posted on YouTube for free, and eventually reach other persons with disabilities who need them. One person’s innovation can become another’s independence.

Project Discovery is a pan India/ pan disability movement that intends to gather the daily living solutions used by people with disability, to overcome their day-to-day challenges. This movement is held in the form of a video competition and individuals /organizations and community mobilizers will be recognized all across the country and prize money will be disseminated.

Solution Categories:
1. There will be 12 individual winning solutions in 4 categories.
• Daily living solutions
• Workplace solutions
• Education and Training solutions
• Social inclusion solutions

In each category –
First prize – 25.000/-
Second prize – 15,000/-
Third prize - 10,000/-
2. 3 organizational winners- [Organizations receive prize based on number of solutions sent]
First prize – 1 Lakh rupees
Second prize – 50 thousand rupees
Third prize - 25 thousand rupees

3. Few special solution winners- [unique solutions, Solution of solutions) 10 thousand each.

4. Community mobilizer winners- [those who can encourage more individuals and organizations to be a part of the competition, collect at least 50+ solution videos]
