INTRADERMAL NEVUS EXCISION!!!!🧑🏻⚕️
An intradermal nevus is a type of benign mole or nevus, typically found on the skin. It arises from melanocytes (the pigment-producing cells of the skin) but is located deeper within the dermis, as the name suggests. Here are the key points:
1. Appearance:
It is often flesh-colored or slightly pigmented (light brown to pink).
Typically dome-shaped, raised, and can sometimes have a soft or firm consistency.
It may have hair growing from it due to the involvement of dermal structures.
As the nevus cells are located deeper in the dermis, they lose their pigment over time, which is why intradermal nevi are often lighter than other types of nevi.
