FINCH – A Stop-Motion Inspired AI Comedy Series

I came up with the idea for FINCH about six or seven months ago and let it sit for a while. Back then, the tools just weren’t where they needed to be, and I wasn’t happy with how it looked when I first started. So I stepped away, worked on other projects, learned a few new things along the way, and when I came back to it, everything finally clicked.

This series is inspired by the works of Guy Ritchie (Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, The Gentlemen), as well as classics like The Sopranos, Minder, Goodfellas, and The Godfather. It follows Finch, an eccentric character with an obsession for his ice cream, his family, and his friends, and a rivalry with Harold, the “Italian Scoop Stallion.” It’s also, in a funny way, inspired by my cat, Grogu.

FINCH is a light-hearted but twisted English comedy full of oddball characters, dry humour, and a bit of chaos. It’s a real passion project for me, and I’m so glad I’ve been able to bring it to life. Wow… I don’t even know where to start.

I just found out I won an award and honestly, I’m lost for words. When I started this journey, I never expected it to take me here. I’ve poured everything into these projects, my time, my heart, and every bit of creativity I have.

I’m truly grateful to everyone who’s supported me along the way, to those who believed in me, inspired me, and pushed me to keep going when things got hard. This means more than I can really explain.

Thank you to the judges, the organisers, and everyone involved in the award. And thank you to those who’ve followed my work, shared it, and encouraged me to keep creating.

Shortlisted in the Top 3 at the AI Media Awards

I started this journey just a year ago, and I never expected to be where I am today. I’ve learned so much about storytelling, creativity, and pushing boundaries, lessons I owe to the people who have supported and inspired me along the way.

I’m truly honoured and blessed to be nominated once again for another award for one of my short films, and even more humbled to have been shortlisted in the Top 3 at the AI Media Awards. The past few months have been incredible, and every nomination reminds me how far this path has taken me.

As I always say, it’s about being humble in victory and humble in defeat. I didn’t start this to win awards or score points, I’m doing it to share my vision, to express what I love, and to keep creating from the heart.

I wanted to blend them together to put out something a bit out there, using ideas around really pointless things in the world that we could imagine being part of everyday life. It doesn’t make any sense, but I’m just doing it for fun while also testing out a few things.

Really proud to share that one of my short films has been ‪@AIFilmLabUK‬ Nominated at IndieX Film Fest. Honestly I never expected this, right now I’m just on the journey of creating, experimenting and learning my craft as a filmmaker.

Recognition like this means a lot and I’m very grateful. But I’m not doing this for awards or applause, I’m doing it because this is my passion and it’s what I love.
