I revisited the "filler" episode from Re:Zero the other day and notices a little scene that reminded be of KonoSuba. Most of the similarities a very obvious, but what's the deal with Snow Samurai from Naruto? Yes, I know that the amour is inspired by historical Japanese designs, but I can't recall an anime other than Naruto where this exact appearance was used. Double Easter Egg?
Why is Shalltear not using her "camouflage" while meeting with the Empire? Demiurge was concealing himself with the frog appearance, but they should know that this is Honyopenyoko, since people have seen her in this form before, which is why she changed her look for Yaldabaoth assault. Any thoughts? Animation error?
Comrades, I think I bit off more than I could chew. The next video I planned on Overlord is turning out to be stupid long, so I might have to break it down into two, to prevent you waiting for a month till it's completion. On the bright side, Overlord enjoyers will have a good time. Can't wait for the Holy Kingdom movie. Sasuga Ainz-sama!
Reading through the comments made me think that I shouldn't have cut a section from the video. When talking about Toru's quirk, this is the extra text I had:
If her power works in the same way just for light exclusively, she should be blind, as if her eyes were picking up the light waves, we would've seen something because there would have been less than 100% of the light coming through. Maybe that’s not how it works, remember her ultimate move “warp refraction”? What if she is not see-through but perfectly light refractive. Similar problem - our Ms. Controversy is quite curvy which will result in her looking like the Predator and, again, the light will bounce off her retina instead of being processed by it. One way I might explain it is that there is a lag behind the ability, which allows her to both see and be invisible while standing motionless, yet her silhouette will still be visible while moving.
Wonder what you guys think? Because in my opinion, being 100% light refractive will make her look like a mirror or a disco ball, not invisible.
