There are many people who have created beautiful photographic works that have influenced me in my photographic journey. Paul Nicklen and his life partner Cristina Mittermeier are two of the BEST. Here is Paul's NEW and latest book offering over 30 years of his best loved works.

Our 2024 Fox Story:
Every year in spring just before the major small bird or warbler rush we try to find a fox family to follow with their kits. We are NOT always successful...sometimes we see a fox, sometimes we see a kit, sometimes we see a fox and a kit and get some pics...but we usually do not get a longer series of images where we get to share a good deal of time with the family. This year was a little luckier than usual. What surprises us the most is sometimes where you can find this species. They are NOT afraid to be in areas that are quite urban at times. But they are also smart enough to not stay in any one spot for too long and move on to different locals around 3 to 4 times while the kits are growing.
This year we started to observe a family of 6, a mom and 5 kits on April 10th. The last time we saw them was the 15th. The first time we saw them the mom was laid out and all five kits were nursing or flitting about around her so we know the kits were under two months old. We are assuming that mom has once again moved her brood to another location as they do quite often, to not be discovered or hunted. We miss them already. Goodbye until next year.
And yes these images are for sale. You know what to do.
