#OnThisDay in 1995, @sachin_rt & @RickyPonting played against each other for the first time in International Cricket at Dunedin in Centenary Tournament.
Ponting scored 62 (92) while Tendulkar scored 47 (40).
India won the match by 5 wickets with 13 balls left.

Hick's Maiden Test Hundred!
#OnThisDay in 1993, Graeme Hick scored his maiden Test Hundred (also his highest test score) - 178 against India at Wankhede, Mumbai.
But his hundred went in vain as England lost the test by an innings and series 0-3.

He become 1st & Only Player to be dismissed on 299 in Tests before that Sir Don Bradman also scored 299 but he was Not Out.

@nassercricket was his first first-class & Test victim, and Vettori became New Zealand's youngest Test cricketer at 18 years ten days, after only two first-class matches played.

English run machine Alastair Cook, born today, exploded into Test cricket at 20 with a hundred against India in 2006, cemented his spot with back-to-back hundreds against Pakistan the same year, and scored seven Test hundreds by his 23rd birthday. In the 2010-11 Ashes he made 766 runs in seven innings to set up England's first win in Australia in 24 years. In 2012, Cook took over as Test captain, and led the side to a historic series win in India, where he also became England's leading Test century-maker and the youngest player to pass 7000 runs.
