I grew up in the video stores of the late 80's and 90's, fully immersed in the VHS explosion of that era, and awash in the plethora of horror, exploitation, sleaze, B-movies and trash that flooded the home video market. I have a fondness for horror movies, but love all genres of film. I am a collector of and advocate for physical media and an avid convention-goer. I have been sharing my love of movies on my YouTube channel since 2009.

Big shout out to everyone who tuned in for the last two streams on my channel! It was great getting to chat with Mike P. Nelson last night about Silent Night, Deadly Night and much more, including some potentially exciting news pertaining to Jason Universe! And the Silent Night, Bloody Night watch party is something I look forward to every year. In case you couldn't be there live for either one, both will be linked in the comments.

Netflix is going to buy WB, unless congress shoots it down, which is a possibility. This kind of move makes me shudder to think what the landscape of both theatrical and physical releases will look like in the future.

My yearly reminder that Bob Clark was one of the most versatile and underrated filmmakers ever. He made two holiday classics on polar opposite ends of the genre spectrum. He also created the blueprint for teen comedies like American Pie, Superbad, etc. with Porky’s. His contributions to Canadian cinema are countless as well. He was ahead of his time, a trailblazer, and seemed like a genuinely nice guy. R.I.P.
