Most people hear Nigerians speak Pidgin… but they miss the real meaning.
I break down what Nigerians actually mean in everyday conversations so you don’t misunderstand tone, intention, or emotion.
This is not just language learning.
This is communication decoding for real-life situations in Nigeria.
What you’ll learn here:
• What common Nigerian phrases actually mean
• How tone changes meaning completely
• Why “simple words” are often misunderstood
• How Nigerians really communicate in daily life
Example breakdowns:
• “Abeg” isn’t just “please”
• “I dey come” doesn’t always mean you are coming
• “No wahala” depends on situation, not words
Who this is for:
• People dating Nigerians
• Foreigners moving to Nigeria
• Anyone tired of misunderstanding conversations
• People who want real cultural clarity, not textbook language

Okay, I think I owe you guys an explanation 😂🇳🇬
If you’ve been seeing some of my recent videos and wondering why I’m suddenly posting suitcases, travel essentials, Nigeria travel tips, Pidgin, culture and all sorts of random-looking things…
It’s actually not random.
I’m building something called The Nigeria Edit. 🇳🇬
The idea is simple:
I want to create a place that helps people coming to Nigeria know what to expect, what to pack, how to move around, how to communicate, and how to understand the culture especially if it’s their first time.
So yes, you’ll still see Pidgin from me. 😂
But I’m expanding beyond Pidgin.
You’ll start seeing:
✈️ Nigeria travel tips
🧳 Travel essentials I actually recommend
🗣️ Pidgin & communication
🇳🇬 Nigerian culture & etiquette
🍲 Food, places & experiences
💼 Business travel
and eventually a proper Nigeria Edit resource hub where everything lives.
I’m building it as I go, so you’re basically watching the behind-the-scenes of me figuring this thing out in real time.
And if you see me posting those AI travel videos… yes, they’re mine. I’m testing different ways to make the information useful and actually enjoyable to look at.
For now, if you want to see the travel finds and things I’m recommending, I’m keeping them on my Pinterest while I build the Nigeria Edit properly.
I’ll bring you there when the time is right. 👀🇳🇬
Would you actually use a resource like this before travelling to Nigeria?

Traveling to Nigeria isn't just about packing clothes it’s about packing real environmental insurance. 🇳🇬💼
After years of watching people make the same critical travel blunders (like having their phone completely die in the middle of Lagos traffic with no maps, or getting slammed with massive baggage fees at the counter), I’ve officially launched a brand new project: The Nigeria Edit.
It is a curated travel and cultural intelligence resource designed to help tourists, expats, and the diaspora prepare for their trips without the stress or guesswork.
I’m dropping the full visual breakdown of my ultimate packing checklists, airport survival tools, and travel hacks over on our brand new Pinterest page!

CapCut's auto-captions really tried to trap me today with 'exert' and 'shop' 😭💀
But the rules of 'Sharp' vs 'Sharp Sharp' still stand!
If you want to drop the outsider status completely, check the pinned video on your screen right now for the full masterclass breakdown. Which caption typo made you laugh the most? Let me know below! 👇🏽

Tell me you're being played without telling me you're being played. 🚩
If she says 'I'm coming' but she’s still sitting on the bed scrolling through TikTok... what is the appropriate punishment? 🧐

⚽ You probably think "This guy sabi play ball" just means:
"He's good at football."
Not quite. 👀
In Nigerian Pidgin, "sabi" carries a deeper meaning—and once you understand it, you'll start hearing Nigerians differently, both on and off the football pitch.
What's even more interesting?
We don't only use it for football...
I break down the full meaning, real-life examples, and why this phrase says much more than most people realize in the full video.
▶️ Watch the full video through the link [youtube.com/shorts/plryumX7OO...].
📺 And if you're enjoying these Nigerian football phrases, check out my Football Pidgin playlist for more expressions, hidden meanings, and street codes that foreigners often miss.

There is a specific way you speak that changes how people look at you. It’s not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about knowing the exact words to say.
I just updated my guide on the 5 phrases that get you instant respect.

Stop trying to learn Pidgin from a dictionary! 🛑 You’re making it too hard on yourself.
I’ve seen so many people getting "played" because they don't understand the real flow. If you want to stop sounding like a JJC and start speaking like a local in record time, you need to watch this.
I broke down the entire system right here: 👉 youtube.com/shorts/f71VBJ_ScI...

Be honest... how many times have you heard a Nigerian say "I'm coming" and you actually sat there waiting? 😭
We’ve all been that JJC at some point. What’s the one phrase that had you most confused when you first heard it? Drop it below and I might decode it in the next video! 👇
