Today I made a simple one-pan mushroom pasta with chestnut mushrooms, garlic, parsley, butter, olive oil and parmesan.
Nothing fancy, just proper comfort food with simple ingredients. The pasta water does most of the magic, bringing everything together.
Would you keep it simple like this, or add cream, chicken, or bacon?

Fire alarm at exactly 12:00… right as burger rush started 😅
We had to leave the building for about 10 minutes, then run straight back upstairs and carry on with the service.
The Curry Smash Roti special sold really well too — burger day took a slightly chaotic turn this time 👌😊👍

This one turned into a proper long-form pasta day: fresh pasta, beef ragù, onion ragù, a long mise en place, then busy lunch service.
The big question from the comments is interesting…
Is making fresh pasta worth the extra effort in a busy canteen, or would dried pasta do the job just as well?
I know what I think after service… but I’m curious what you lot think 👇
