Happy Thursday my friends. Pull up a chair; we need to talk. šŖ
I donāt know if youāre like me, but I am getting older. š¤¦š»āāļø Donāt get me wrongā¦I am thankful for the opportunity. Each day that God gives me is a blessing. But I donāt necessarily want to LOOK LIKE what I have BEEN THROUGH, if you catch my drift. š¬
Yāall, I have that crepey skin. My poor legs (and even my arms) had gotten so crepey and wrinkled. Amy told me about this lotion and I figured that it wouldnāt hurt to try.
This morning, I just finished off my second bottle.
I immediately went in my Walmart+ app and ordered 2 more bottles to come with my grocery delivery. This stuff is the real deal. I am not going to be without it.
Is it a miracle cure in a bottle? Nope. Has it helped the appearance of my crepey skin? Yes it has. Not only that, it smells so clean and fresh. Not an overbearing smell at all.
With shorts and capri pants season on the horizon, now is the time to start getting ready. Once I started using this, it took me about 2 -3 weeks to see a difference. Order you some now, and a month from now, you will thank me. I use it in the mornings when I get dressed and again before I go to bed. I havenāt steered you wrong yet, friends. Trust me on this. I canāt believe that I let myself run out, but thanks to Walmart+, I will have 2 more bottles this afternoon. šš¼
Have you tried this lotion? If so, do you love it like I do? If not, you need to try it. Let me know what you think.
What are you doing today? I promise, I am going to try to do a Q&A video with Harold. You all love them, and I know we are behind. š¤¦š»āāļø I am going to work on it.
Have yāall started your spring decorating? Remember the last Dollar Tree video I did with the Easter decorations? Well Amy went and got her one of the grass-flocked bunnies. She cut off the jute that was tied around its neck and tied this ribbon on it instead. She stuck it on her Hoosier cabinet and I just love it! I went over there to visit John Sutton and I saw it and had to snap this picture for yāall. This is what I mean - donāt overlook those Dollar Tree items. You can make them beautiful!
Do you have a question for Harold and me? If so, leave it below. Hopefully that will motivate me to get the video done and posted for you all. Have a great day, my friends!
Hey Friends! Letās talk cookies. You already know that Haroldās favorite treats are cookies. Well, for a cookie lover, itās the best time of the year. Itās Girl Scout cookie time! A local troop was set up and selling this weekend, and Amy went to get some. That got us talking, and I thought I would ask you all. Do you like Girl Scout cookies like we do? And if so - tell me what is your favorite kind. Iāll go first.
Yes, we love Girl Scout Cookies! Our favorites are Samoas, Tagalongs, Do Si Doās, and Thin Mints. What about you? Leave a comment and play along.
If you watched our live this morning then you already know that Amy, her best friend Brigitte, and Brigitteās mom, Shirley, and I went to a local senior center for a watercolor class. We had the absolute best time! Our teacher is wonderful (and patient) and all the other people in the class are funny and on our level artistically. Our birds may not be perfect, but we are pretty proud of them. Amy and I stopped by the Dollar Tree on our way home and got frames for ours! š¤·š»āāļøš
I love getting to do these fun things with the people that I love. Do you do any kind of classes? If so, what do you do? Watercolor painting is pretty forgiving, and I enjoy doing it. We canāt wait for the next class. What do you think about our masterpieces? Can you tell they are birds?
Today (Sunday) Kylie and John Sutton were showered by some precious ladies. Everything was perfect - from the food, to the decorations, to the gifts. These women are blessings and they sure blessed my people today.
What is it about shower food that makes it so delicious? We had wonderful cream cheese cupcakes, chicken salad croissants, a vegetable platter, fruit and fruit dip, a cheese ring with strawberry preserves, and tea and water. I ate way too much, and loved every bite.
John Suttonās baby shower was supposed to be held earlier in the year, but he came early so it had to be postponed. Because of that, he got to attend his party! He looked precious in his little bubble, and he slept the whole time (when he wasnāt eating). Kylie said that of course he scratched his little face after church this morning, but he was still a little doll.
Friends are a treasure and a blessing, and I am thankful for these sweet ladies for showering Kylie and John Sutton, and also for all the ones that attended today. It was a great day.
What is your favorite shower food? Iāll go first - I like it all. š¤·š»āāļøš¤¦š»āāļøš
You know that Harold and I are walking now. Well, weāre not the only ones getting our steps in. Look at this proud big brother Mason helping John Sutton get some fresh air yesterday. I had to take a picture to share with my friends. Remember ringer your steps in and to move today. You donāt have to walk far; every little bit helps. Love you, friends.
Whew - yāall have strong feelings on the porch geese. Many of you love them and shared your pictures and stories of your porch geese. I enjoyed seeing them all. I think they are so cute and honestly, just fun!
Some of you ācanāt standā plastic geese, and āwouldnāt dare have that junk on your porch.ā Ok then. By all means, nobody is forcing you. Itās ok not to like something but not be ugly about it. Believe it or not, you can even dislike something and not criticize people who do like it.
Then, there was a group of people who think that all geese, be they plastic, concrete, or any other material, are ājust plain stupid.ā Again, you can think anything that you want, but you really donāt have to say it. Or type it. Itās ok to just think it.
Long before I got Roxie, I had Miss Bunny. Many of you remembered her and asked about her. That made me smile! I dressed Miss Bunny for all the occasions for years. With her being concrete, it wasnāt always easy to find clothes that fit her well (hence her topless 4th of July outfit seen below). I found these few pictures that I had previously shared of Miss Bunny, so wanted to reshare them today. Amy and I had fun thrifting her outfits. I will still dress her when I can, in addition to Roxie. They both make me smile, so Iām going to dress them.
I had several questions asking about where I got Roxieās name. I had an Aunt Roxie, and I loved her. She was fun and sassy, so I thought that Roxie was a perfect name. I may just get Roxie and Miss Bunny both a NO ROTTEN POTATOES shirt. I think that would great additions to their wardrobe.
I hope you all have a wonderful Friday. No matter if you have a plastic, concrete, wood, steel, or marshmallow porch goose - or no goose at all. You do what makes you happy, and do something to make you smile. We need more of that in this world. I love you, Roxie loves you, and Miss Bunny loves you. Be salt and lightā¦and be NICE. šŖæ
Ok friends, I have a new family member to introduce you to. Meet Roxie. Sheās my new porch goose, and I love her!
I have seen them all over social media, and I think they are the cutest thing ever. Iāve had her for a while, but I have been waiting on her clothes to come in. I am not at all ashamed to say that Roxie has several outfits and she is going to be the best dressed goose on the blockā¦until Amy gets her one.
Do you have a porch goose? If so, I would love to see a picture. What is your gooseās name? Leave us a comment and share with us. I am sharing the links where you can order for yourself. Roxie has outfits for St. Patrickās day, Easter, spring, Memorial Day/July 4th, and other days as well. If you want a goose (and outfits specifically made for it) - check my link in the comments.šŖæšŖæ
Ok friends, Harold and I had several stops to make today. I had to run in the Dollar Tree to get some gift bags and tissue paper for a shower gift, so while I was in there, I did some research for us. Look at these great new items that I saw! Iāll give you a brief description of each one. Leave me a comment and tell me which ones you think I bought.
1. Olay anti-aging skin care dupes. 2 EOS shave cream dupes. 3. EOS shave cream (pump) dupe. 4. Sol de Janerio dupe shower gel (smells just like the real thing). 5. Shea Moisture dupe shampoo 6. Clean & Clear dupe facial cleanser 7. Vicks Vapor Rub dupe 8. Vicks Vapor Rub shower tablets 9. & 10. Glass containers for leftovers. I LOVE these because I am trying not to use plastics, and definitely not reheat food in plastics.
I was slow moving this morning. I had the best time at MeMeās, but I am glad to be home. I will be sharing some things that I got antiquing with MeMe and company a little later. First I wanted to share these pics. We had our Marriage Conference and Valentine Banquet at church on Saturday, and as always we had the best time. They posted our pictures so I wanted to share them with you.
What would you like to see on this page this week? Do you want more Q&A with Harold and I? Thrift or antique finds? Shopping tips or hauls? Garden/yard content? Spring cleaning info? Let me know what you want, and I will try to make you happy. In the meantime, enjoy these pics of me and my forever Valentine
