🌱🚢 Owendo Container Terminal (OCT) opérateur du terminal à conteneurs du Port d’Owendo au Gabon franchit une étape majeure vers la durabilité en électrifiant 100% de ses portiques de parc.



🌍 Dans le cadre de l’initiative Green Terminal de AGL – Africa Global Logistics , labelisée par Bureau Veritas Group , OCT partage l’ambition de l’ Office des Ports et Rades du Gabon (OPRAG) qui participe au respect des engagements de réduction de l’empreinte carbone pris par le Gabon à travers la Convention-cadre des Nations-Unies sur les changements climatiques (CCNUCC) en matière de réduction d’émission de Gaz à effet de serre.



🔎 Grâce à cet investissement durable, les 270 collaborateurs de OCT au Gabon conduits par laurent goutard et Aimée Pascaline M. Mougoula traduisent en actes les efforts de réduction de l’empreinte carbone des activités de AGL – Africa Global Logistics.

🌍 Let's celebrate Environment Day with AGL! 🌍



🌱 Today, we are proud to share one of our environmental initiatives and our commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), particularly in our "For the Planet" pillar. Since June 2021, our Green Terminal label has been reducing the carbon footprint of our port activities.



🏭 Green Terminal offers a concrete solution for energy transition and can be implemented in both existing facilities and new projects, thanks to Bureau Veritas Group, our independent third-party auditor for our terminals.



🚢 9 concessions have been awarded the Green Terminal label:


• Meridian Port Services (MPS)
• Bénin Terminal
• Abidjan Terminal
• Dakar Terminal
• Kribi Conteneurs Terminal (KCT)
• Conakry Terminal
• Owendo Container Terminal (OCT) in Gabon
• Terminal Roulier d'Abidjan (TERRA)
• Freetown Terminal



🌍 These labeled concessions demonstrate our commitment to the environment and our dedication to building a sustainable future.

🌟 AGL, new operator of Malindi Container Terminal in Zanzibar.

🌍 Witness by the ministry of infrastructure communication and transport Hon. Khalid S. Mohamed, Tony Stenning our Regional Director of Southern Africa at AGL (Africa Global Logistics), and Nahaat Mahfoudh, CEO of Zanzibar Ports Corporation, signed the contract for the management of the Malindi Container Terminal at the Port of Malindi in Zanzibar on May 18, 2023.

🤝Africa Global Logistics will be responsible for cargo handling operations and maritime services at the country's main port infrastructure. The company is committed to implementing an investment program for the modernization and development of the Port of Malindi. AGL also plans to construct a depot zone outside the port to alleviate congestion.

⚓"We are going beyond operational improvements at this port, as we are determined to invest in its development, attract a greater variety of maritime lines, and stimulate trade volumes," emphasized Tony Stenning during the signing ceremony.

🏗 This agreement will enable the country to have a modern infrastructure capable of ensuring imports and exports in conditions of quality, security, and safety that comply with international standards, thanks to AGL's experience in port terminal management.

🚀"The signing of this contract confirms our commitment to continue developing our portfolio of port concessions in Africa. It is a great opportunity for us and our partners in Zanzibar to develop the Port of Malindi and make it the gateway to Zanzibar," stated Olivier Noray (de) Noray, CEO of Ports & Terminals of AGL.
