We are a 1st generation homesteading and farming family learning self-sufficiency through homemade food, gardening, animals, and honest wins and failures. On this channel we share what we learned as well as what we are learning about running a farm and homestead with livestock, gardens, orchard, hay fields and constant projects.
About our Family: We had a comfortable life living in our townhouse; enjoying the community and friends there. We managed to maximize our small backyard to produce quite a bit of food, between fruit trees, garden beds with herbs and vegetables, as well as ways to vertically grow plants. But we wanted more. We dreamt of having more land with livestock and really expanding our ability to be self-sufficient. Through the grace of God, we made that dream come true! Follow along on our journey... and all of the learning curves along the way!

🚜 We finally put together our Amazon Storefront! 💚
We get questions from time to time about the tools, equipment, fencing supplies, livestock products, garden gear, and other things you see us using around Whitetail Acres, so we decided to put everything together in one easy place!
Our Amazon Storefront is filled with products we actually use on our farm or genuinely recommend — from working with the cattle and managing pasture to hay season, fencing, garden work, farm projects, and more.
If you’ve ever watched one of our videos and wondered, “Where did they get that?” 😅 — take a look!

🌾 First cutting hay is in the books — and it came with a storm we'll never forget. Full round baler maintenance, red white & blue net wrap, 27 acres raked and baled, all with a severe thunderstorm closing in.

We spent two days at the Churchtown Farms Auction. 353 lots. One shot to get it right.
What would YOU have bid on?
🐎 The disc harrow (it was a deal)
🚜 The John Deere square baler
✋ Walked away with nothing (discipline!)

We just hit a massive 90-degree heat wave here at Whitetail Acres. 🥵 It’s been a race against the clock to keep the cattle and chickens cool.
If you’re farming or homesteading, what is the #1 thing you struggle with when the heat spikes?
