After lots of thought and long conversations I am announcing to you all today I am no longer going to be affiliated with Halloween Costumes / Fun. Com. This is coming from the recent extreme use of generative AI being increasingly implemented into their website and social media. I was hoping through the current situation with the Design Program that some of these issue would get resolution from the core team, including Tom Fallestine the CEO of the company. Unfortunately after a long conversation with Tom, the core of the company will be doubling down on this use of generative AI throughout the company, many of you know that I do not stand with this type of technology being used in this way, it negatively impacts the creativity and jobs of very talented people within the company and I feel as if this is extremely disrespectful to not just the employees within the company directly effected by this, but also the entire haunting community that is built on such talented people from sculptors, to artists, to visionaries. It’s not fair to them, it’s not fair to you, and it’s not fair to me. Down the road I would like to continue working with them when a policy change is put in place, when that will be is unclear but I’m in no rush right now. What does this mean in terms of content? I’ll still be discussing them in videos on the channel, and if I do like a product from them I will be unboxing it for everyone’s enjoyment, but still taking the extra steps for myself and everyone at home to continue protesting this generative AI use, whether it’s returning the item after my content is out, or waiting until heavy discounts to effect profit margins (something I encourage all of you to do with all of these major corporations.) while in my videos discussing this integrity. Sorry this is a long read, here’s for a better, stronger, creative future
