Any person who is not of the age of majority is a minor. In India, 18 years is the age of majority. Below the age of 18 years does not have the capacity to enter into a contract. A contract or agreement with a minor is null from the beginning, and no one can sue them.

Although it's one of India's most common financial offenses under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.An offence committed under Section 138 is a non-cognizable offence. Also, it is a bailable offence.
A person who is guilty for an offence under the Section 138 shall be Imprisonment for a term which can be extended to 2 years, or with fine which can extend upto twice the amount of the cheque, or with both.
