We all must be too young to have experienced what happened, in 1989, Indian Economy saw one of its worst economic crisis unfolding. Indian Currency depreciated phenomenally and Indian Forex reserves fell to record lows. This led the Indian Policy makers helmed by back then by Finance Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, to adopt the Economic Reforms in a way enforced by IMF and World Bank. The INR was devalued by almost 18-19% in July 1991.
Cut to post 2008 crisis, INR once again comes under severe threat, August 2013 saw a free fall INR w.r.t Dollar, current account deficit was high, now blame it on global crude worries or rising tensions between Ukraine Russia, but Rupee saw a setback. India was soon classified as ‘Fragile Five’ emerging markets. This was the time when the Reserve Bank of India brought in, one of the most renowned and respected economists ever as the RBI Governor, Shri Raghuram Rajan.
After taking charge in the office, Mr. Rajan pledged to stabilize the Indian currency and sent the world a message that Indian Monetary policy was in the hands of strong institutions like RBI. 2014 Election happened and there came a new government who saw exactly what Mr. Rajan’s aim was. And boy did he deliver, though was supported by cooling off, of global crude prices considerably reducing India’s import bill, and some stability on global economic front.
The next biggest dent to the world economy post 2008 crisis was yet to hurt. The Covid-19, everything came to a standstill. Indian regime was quick on the uptake, early lockdown measures though hurt the economy but helped to scale down on the number of human casualties, this is believed to be the reason, Indian economy has been fastest in terms economic recovery.
The article will be incomplete without the mention of initiatives by the current political heads. i.e., आत्मनिर्भर and export-oriented economy, we look at the numbers and realize that India is slowly changing its import-oriented strategies to current account surplus objective on the back of Make in India initiative. Our reserves have seen phenomenal growth in the past three years and hoping that these numbers will rise in the future too.
It is 2023, to support India’s stride of strengthening rupee w.r.t major currencies, many of the major economies are looking for the transition from the Dollar dominated International Trade, to something more reliable and freer of Sanctions. With West imposing sanctions on the Russia after the Ukraine War, it has also already entered into an agreement with China to trade in Yuan Ruble exchange, to reduce their dependence on the US Dollar.
Also. Major oil producing countries like UAE has entered into an agreement with India to trade non-oil commodities in Indian Rupees. In addition to that, Saudi Arabia has said that it is open to trade in currencies besides US Dollar.
All the above facts show an opportunity for the Indian Rupee to shine and become a new global currency. It is clearly an indication of India’s rising performance and respect at the global level. Today, almost 18 countries accept payments in Indian Rupees which includes some of the major names such as Russia, The United Kingdom (UK), Germany, Israel, Malaysia and so on. India is being viewed as a global leader or we shall say a विश्वगुरु who can lead the world in the near future.
In Conclusion, there are still many challenges we might be facing such as our country’s trade deficit and foreign crude dependence. India needs to reduce its dependence on other countries and be truly आत्मनिर्भर. However, with the current growth rate and trust shown by IMF and World Bank and, by other major economies in the Indian Economy, our dream is not far off and we can truly become a विश्वगुरु.
Afterall, some mountains are meant to be climbed.

Its nearly the end of January and Budget 2023 is round the corner. Like every year, it will be announced on 1st of February this year too. We are a year away from 2024 Lok Sabha Elections and therefore, this Budget will be super important for the entire nation and for the elections ahead. Will it be a populace one or with a hint of Macroeconomics Rationale, time will tell. Along with Elections, 2023 Budget is crucial also because of the Global Recession threats, Intensifying of Russia Ukraine war, global layoff season and much more is turbulent globally.

India is expecting a lot from this Budget at the least to start with is the relief in inflationary pressure and looming joblessness.

To jot down a few

a. Direct Tax Reforms (Increasing Basic Exemption Limit, Standard Deduction for Employees, Increase in limits of Section 80C)

b. Focus on Make in India (to beat international pressure on Supply Chain Variables)

c. Green Energy (A push for EVs via Subsidies and Production Linked Incentive Scheme inclined towards production of Green Energy)

d. Reverse Brain Drain (Education Sector is betting long on the government policies for better education ecosystem, with expectation of increased budgetary allocation for the same).

e. Defence (with neighbours like ours we inevitably have to spend more, the push we will be to Private contracting or PSUs taking the charge will be something to look forward to)

This list goes on as there are many sectors which have their own demands according to their needs from the government. But before that we have Economic Survey coming up to look forward to.

What are your expectations from the Budget?

Football is all on the rage these days. Whenever you tune in there are very likely chances that you will find the image above being discussed. What does this picture represent? A football field with the formation 4-1-2-1-2. Why this picture exactly? Because of the Football World Cup? A Yes and A No.
First of all, we all know how can a team win a football match. Of course, by scoring more goals than the other team. Pretty obvious, right?
But, how does a team score a goal? Well, this is pretty much the job of the centre forward to finish and score a goal but there is a whole process involved in order to get your centre forward to score a goal. Like an important part is of the Left and Right Midfielders in this example to move with the ball and to create a cross from the wing position. Attacking Midfielder to get ahead with the ball and make the whole attack from the centre.
Meanwhile, at the same time defensive midfielder along with the other defenders needs to ensure that the opponent does not get past them and to help the goalkeeper to save a goal. In this way an entire process is completed. Sounds simple? It is on paper but definitely much tougher process in reality.
Now, just imagine if all the players on the field decide to not follow any orders and just try to get a goal by simply attacking and without following any formation. This will bring an utter chaos on the field and the opponents will find it so easy to break into the defence and score goals. And ultimately a team will lose.
Relax we are not trying to explain the complexities of football. So, basically what’s the point of this entire story? We often come see many businesses disappear or Popular TV shows cancel or for that matter many great bands break up. For majority the reason is simple, the desire to be a hero and to be a sole hero in their film with the maximum screentime. Eventually, the team who once reigned over the others by following the formation, his/her duties is finished all at once. Structures becoming Shackles.
But why does this happen exactly? We believe in the YOLO effect i.e., you only live once. So, not to be anyone’s slave or employee but to fulfil your own dreams and to live only for yourself. Now, if everyone decides to be their own boss, there will be no company at all in the future then. Everybody will be on their own and eventually will be alone in the process just because nobody wants to take any orders and there will be no team at all. We have watched this in movies or even in real life with big business houses and partnership firms or a music band, that once they split and break the entire team, the performance or the growth never remain same and ultimately everyone loses in such a situation.
So, what to do and how to make a perfect team: -
1. We should learn to keep aside our YOLO effect and to know and perform our duties in the process of team building rather than always trying to be the lead one. It is important to be a good listener too because in a team of 11, there is only one captain and rest of the 10 along with substitutes needs to ensure that they undertake captain’s orders correctly.
2. Learn to take criticism in a positive way. Most of us are best judges but we are not good contestants at all. On the counterpart, we need to ensure that the criticism is done more in a constructive way rather than being rude and harsh.
3. The Leader or the forward of any team (according to our example) needs to understand that in order to win sometimes its better to hand over some work to their fellow teammates even though it could be out of their purview. David Beckham, one of the most legendary midfielders of all time managed to score more 146 goals out of 834 senior appearances he had. Even though he was a midfielder and not a forward, he had so many goals because of his long-range shooting, game building abilities and of course his legendary free kicks.
4. Final and the most important thing in building a team is to acknowledge and respect everyone’s efforts. Even a minimal contribution from someone makes a team better. So, its important to treat everyone equal with respect and to value their efforts.

In Conclusion, there is nothing but we need to learn to stick together in a team and to move in ‘One Direction’, because sometimes we lose the best thing, we ever had due to the greed for more. And that’s it my friend, “just how fast the night changes”. No Pun Intended.

"Mishraji aapko pta hai sharmaji ka ladka CA Final Clear kr gaya. 12 ghante padta tha"

"Mishraji aapka ladka bhi toh CA Final ki tyaari kr raha hai? Kitne ghante padhta hai?"

So we all are familiar with the likes of such conversations. How often do we hear in the newspapers or on television or on social media for instance that if you want to Ace an examination you need to put in a lot of long hours and pull many all nighters.

And many students do tend to believe the same to be true. Work hard work long and put in all you have. We hear our parents quote “rest is rust” and what not. We see around us Whether its Class Xth Board Exams or for an instance country’s one of the toughest exams ever; CA Finals.

This is the trend That is really showcased everywhere and even encouraged among the students. However, is that the way?

Let us understand it scientifically first, studying for too long without taking sufficient breaks makes a student feel more tired and also decreases his/her efficiency.

Students feel more distressed and end up retaining half of what they just studied. Which makes them feel inefficient and they end up putting in more long sessions purely out of guilt and fear.

Overthinking and day dreaming is also a concern here. Yeah, this does sound surreal but it sure does happen. Just recall the last time you planned your "what to do with your first Salary ?" Or When was the last time you planned your perfect holiday vacation, this happens because when you don't rest your brain helps you rest by going off focus and off topic.

What we need to realise is studying for too long doesn’t mean the effective hours of your study are also increasing with that number, afterall human brain has a capacity to hold something.

What we fail to understand is the number of hours we put in is not exactly a right parameter to know how well we study.

The only parameter is focus. The more focused hours you put in the more efficient you become.

Focused study eliminates emotions like guilt, fear, anxiety, and cultivates confidence, efficiency and a healthy mind.
Some tips to more efficient and focused studying

1. Take quick breaks between such long schedules to get yourself a little distracted (Remember quick brains should never be greater than the actual study schedule)

2. Get a good sleep if you are really going to have long study schedules next day, this will help you increase efficiency.

3. Avoid Mobile Phones as much as possible even during quick breaks. Mobile phones consume most of your mental energy and also you end up wasting more time.

Do remember there is never a perfect SOP for anything in your life. What may work for one may not work for the other one. Some may study for 14 hours a day and still cannot get that success while others may study for merely 6 hours with their best energy (after saying kuch bhi nahi padha bhai) and still be a topper and vice versa of course.
Afterall it is all about the comfort one feels in the way he/she works. So, never generalise one’s success with the other ones because everyone is different and smart in their own way.

“Hard work will always overcome natural talent when natural talent does not work hard enough.”
- Sir Alex Ferguson, Former Manchester United Manager
