I have absolutely loved watching all of the comments on my recent life update video. Thank you all so much for watching and sharing your experiences, and Iām absolutely thrilled that I was able to reach so many people with this.
New video Monday, last of 2024! I hope everybody has a happy New Years and a great 2025.
Summer is coming, and that means Boat Content! But since my channel has been on an EV bent, I thought I'd address a few comments that suggested EV swapping my grandpa's vintage Starcraft.
This is a commercially available EV wakeboard boat, with a 226kWh battery. The Tesla Cybertruck has a 123kWh battery.
At full throttle, the battery is dead in under an hour.
Hey everyone! Don't worry, I'm still here! I've been super busy with things especially with the holiday season and unfavorable weather here in Kansas. Acquired four or five new vehicles (genuinely can't remember) that I'm working on making videos about, have a review in the works, and it's all much higher effort than my previous content! There will be one lower-quality absolute chaos-fest video coming soon wrapping up the transmission rebuild on the Scion tC, but before that will be the reveal of my new car so stick around, or check out WatchJRGo's latest video for a sneak peek!
MANUAL dually Dodge towing my Ranger off to get a 4 inch lift installed! Once it gets done I have charging system issues, power steering pump, 4wd system, and a mysterious fuel smell to diagnose, hopefully before New Years!
Anyone selling a 1974-1995 80-120hp Johnson V4? š
I guess this engine got hot enough to smear the piston skirt onto the cylinder wall. Fixing this would need machining and a full rebuild and LOTS of parts :(
Quick reminder to WEAR YOUR HELMET! 2 weeks into ownership and I took a spill at 20mph while hustling to get out of the way of an incoming storm. Some tree roots caused bumps on the sidewalk and threw me sideways into the loving embrace of a sticker bush that kept me from falling into the Arkansas, but first I slid across the pavement for a bit. Even with the helmet on my head hit hard enough to ring my bell pretty badly!
Bit scraped up, shoulder a bit stiff, but otherwise okay. Going to stick to the 10-15mph sweet spot, given that I have my trucks set up more for low speed maneuverability and carving which makes them more inherently unstable at high speed. We did avoid the rain, though!
Oh yeah I forgot to mention the ZHP. It's doing well, a friend has actually been daily-driving it for the last couple of months while he works on his own projects and it has been the picture of reliability.

Boats are *horrifically* inefficient vehicles.
