What It Means to Be Anointed
The Bible says,
“The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24 (NIV)
God never tells you to do something without providing what you need to do it. Anointing is a sign that he is equipping and empowering you to fulfill an assignment he’s given you.
Do you want God’s resurrection power to work through your life? Then you need to understand what it means to have his anointing. To understand God’s anointing, you need to keep a few things in mind.
1. When God says to do it, you can count on his anointing.
Jesus’ last assignment to his disciples was impossible. There was no way they could take the gospel to the ends of the earth—except through his power. God will often give you an assignment that looks physically impossible, but he will make it possible.
“The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:24 NIV).
2. God’s anointing makes difficult tasks easier.
Your resources, energy, knowledge, wisdom, and talent are all limited—but God is not. With God’s anointing, you can handle things better, last longer, and go farther.
“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources [God] will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit” (Ephesians 3:16 NLT).
3. God’s anointing makes the impossible possible.
In your business, marriage, health, and relationships, you’re going to come up against seemingly insurmountable problems. God is a competent Father. No problem is beyond his ability to provide.
“What is impossible with man is possible with God” (Luke 18:27 NIV).
4. God anoints your life to bless others.
Jesus came to comfort the afflicted, broken-hearted, and those who are enslaved to bad habits. And he anoints you to comfort others as well.
Acts 10:38 is paraphrased in The Message this way: “Jesus arrived from Nazareth, anointed by God with the Holy Spirit, ready for action. He went through the country helping people and healing everyone who was beaten down by the Devil. He was able to do all this because God was with him.”
5. For every new challenge, you need renewed power from God.
Anointing by the Holy Spirit can’t be stored up. You can’t handle today’s problems with yesterday’s anointing.
Stay in touch with God so that he can constantly fill you with his grace, love, and power. James 4:2 says, “You do not have because you do not ask God” (NIV). Ask for God’s anointing again!

WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES ABOUT. . .
The Word Of God (The Bible)
A. THE BIBLE IS GOD’S SPECIAL BOOK
The Word of God – the Holy Bible – is God’s special book. It is not like other books, but is a supernatural book. It was written by many different people, who wrote by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, See 2 Timothy 3:16.
The Bible is the world’s best seller. It consistently outsells any other book.
The Bible has been translated into more languages than any other book in the world. It was originally written in three languages – Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.
The Bible you have has been translated by dedicated people so that you can have God’s words, thoughts and plans.
The Bible is also one of the oldest books in the world. The most ancient portions of the Bible date back almost 4,000 years.
Yet it is still the most modern book in the world today; for in it we find the answers to life’s greatest questions:
• “Where did I come from?
• “Why am I here?”
• “Where will I Go?”
Even though the Bible is made up of 66 smaller books, it has only one central theme: God’s loving plan to rescue mankind.
At the front of the Bible you will find a list of the 66 books that can be found in the Bible.
The Bible is divided into two sections:
• The Old Testament and
• The New Testament.
`The Old Testament tells us about God’s work with His people before the birth of Jesus.
The New Testament tells us about Jesus’ birth, His life, His great ministry of healing and forgiveness for sick and sinful people, His death on the cross, His being raised from the dead and His ascension (going back to Heaven).
It also tells us about the continuation of His healing, forgiving ministry through those who saw Him after His resurrection. Those who follow Jesus’ teaching do many miraculous works just as He said they would. See John 14:12.
The teaching of those who saw Him after He was raised from the dead is contained in the Epistles (Letters). These were written within the first fifty years after Jesus’ resurrection. These make up about half of the New Testament.
B. WE MUST STUDY THE BIBLE
The most important relationship you can have in this life is with God. Through reading the Bible you come to understand what God is like – His thoughts, His plans, and His promises for you.
The list (index) in the front of the Bible will help you find the page number of the part of the Bible you may wish to study.
To help you find specific parts of the Bible, the translators organized the text into:
• Books,
• Chapters within the Books, and
• Verses within the Chapters.
For example, if you see a reference like “Genesis 3:15”, this would mean
• The Book of Genesis.
• Chapter three, and
• Verse fifteen.
C. HERE IS THE WORLD’S GREATEST PROMISE IN THE BIBLE
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16
D. THE PURPOSE OF THE WORD OF GOD
“… the holy Scriptures… Are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” 2 Timothy 3:15-16
“His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you might partake of the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires” 2 Peter 1:3-4
E. THE WORD OF GOD PRODUCES LIFE
“The words I have spoken unto you are spirit and they are life” John 6:63
1. The Word of God Is Creative
“By the WORD OF THE LORD were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth … For he spoke and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm” Psalms 33:6,9 See also Hebrews 11:3.
F. THE WORD OF GOD IS LIKE WATER
1. The Word of God Cleanses
We start life in the Kingdom of God totally “washed clean” by the Word of God.
“You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you” John 15:3 See also Ephesians 5:25-27.
2. The Word of God Keeps Us Clean
The Word of God, planted in our hearts, keeps us free from sin.
“How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word … I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you” Psalms 119:9,11
G. THE WORD OF GOD IS LIGHT FOR OUR LIVES.
“And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in you hearts” 2 Peter 1:19
1. The Word of God Gives Understanding In A Dark World
“… The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes” Psalms 19:8
“ Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path … The entrance of your word gives light; it gives understanding to the simple” Psalms 119:105,130
H. THE WORD OF GOD IS SPIRITUAL FOOD.
“Jesus answered, It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God’” Matthew 4:4
1. The Word of God Causes Spiritual Growth
“Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly – mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it… ” 1 Corinthians 3:1, 2
“Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation” 1 Peter 2:2
God’s aim for each of us is expressed in Ephesians 4:12-15: “… that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”
I. THE WORD OF GOD IS SEED.
In Luke 8:14-15, Jesus told His disciples the parable of the sower. In verse 11 He said: “The seed is the word of God.” God’s will for our lives is fruitfulness, Psalms 1:3.
“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness” 2 Corinthians 9:10
J. THE WORD OF GOD IS LIKE A SWORD.
“Take… the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” Ephesians 6:17 See also Hebrews 4:12.
Note that Jesus used the word “sword” against Satan in His temptation in the wilderness, Luke 4:1-14, giving us an example of how we can use the Word of God in our own times of temptation.
K. THE WORD OF GOD HELPS US PRAY.
“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you” John 15.7
‘Ask whatever you wish’ literally means to ‘ask as one who has the right – with authority (to command). Now the creative word is in OUR MOUTH!
L. THE WORD OF GOD IS STRONG IN US.
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them in to practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against the house; yet it did not fall, because it had it’s foundations on the rock” Matthew 7:24,25 See also verses 26,27.
Jesus said that the wise man who built his house on the rock was a picture of those who hear His Word and obey it. The Word of God builds ‘inner concrete’ within our lives so that no matter what may come against us we will stand strong.

Receive God’s Grace So You Can Relax
“Be careful that no one fails to receive God’s grace.” Hebrews 12:15 (NCV)
How do you learn to “RELAX” in the liberating grace of God?
R—Realize nobody’s perfect.
The Bible says in the Living Bible paraphrase, “Nothing is perfect except your words” (Psalm 119:96). Those words are directed toward God, because only he is perfect! There isn’t anything perfect about society or popular opinion. There isn’t anything perfect about what you learned while growing up. But God’s Word is perfect. When you get in the Bible and build your life on it, you will have a perfect foundation.
E—Enjoy God’s unconditional love.
The Bible says, “See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children—think of it—and we really are!” (1 John 3:1 TLB). When you become a follower of Christ, you’re not just a servant of God. You are a child of the King! A child is accepted on the basis of who they are. They can rest secure in the acceptance and love of their family.
L—Let God handle things.
What do you do about the uncontrollable things in life? “Cast all your anxiety on [God] because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7 NIV).
When you’re fishing and you cast a line, there comes a point when you have to take your finger off the button and let it go. So just like casting requires letting go, to overcome perfectionism, you have to let go and let God do his work.
A—Act in faith, not fear.
Remember how you got into God’s family in the first place. Ephesians 2:8 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith” (NIV). There’s no other way to get into heaven except by grace. You’ll never be good enough, and you can’t buy your way in. It’s a free gift from God.
X—Exchange your perfectionism for God’s peace.
Perfectionism destroys peace. Jesus says in The Message paraphrase, “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest . . . Learn the unforced rhythms of grace” (Matthew 11:28-29). What a deal!
You’re going to fail a lot in life. But you don’t have to worry about it if you’ve received God’s grace. In fact, there’s only one failure you ever need to worry about: “Be careful that no one fails to receive God’s grace” (Hebrews 12:15 NCV).
Receive it right now, and then relax!

Are You Broken, Here's How To Experience Breakthrough
You may be smiling on the outside—but God knows you are tired on the inside. And if you don’t stop scrolling right now, you might miss the prayer that restores your strength.
You’ve prayed before—but nothing changed.
You trust God—but fear keeps returning.
You’re strong for others—but weak when you’re alone.
The same Jesus who calmed the storm is here in this moment, right where you are listening.
Do you know the prophet Elijah from 1st Kings 19 in the Bible? He wasn’t rebellious. He was tired. And God did not rebuke him, God fed him.
If this prayer is for you, place your hand over your heart, and pray with me:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with humble hearts and open hands.
You are the God who sees every tear, hears every silent cry, and knows every burden we carry.
Your Word says in Psalm 34:18,
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Today, Lord, we come honestly before you, no masks, no pretenses, only broken hearts seeking Your healing touch.
Father God,
We acknowledge that we are weak without You.
We confess that there are moments when pain has overwhelmed our faith,
when disappointment has shaken our hope,
and when waiting has made us weary.
Lord, we bring every broken place to You right now.
Broken dreams.
Broken relationships.
Broken finances.
Broken health.
Broken faith.
Broken prayers that seem unanswered.
We lay them all at the foot of the cross.
Jesus, You are the Man of Sorrows, acquainted with grief.
You understand pain, rejection, betrayal, and suffering.
Because of this, we know we can come boldly to You.
Your Word declares in Psalm 51:17,
“A broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.”
So today, we surrender our brokenness—not as a sign of defeat,
but as an offering of trust.
Lord, break what needs to be broken within us.
Break pride.
Break self-reliance.
Break fear.
Break bitterness.
Break unbelief.
Break every stronghold that keeps us from walking fully in Your will.
We give You permission, Holy Spirit,
to search our hearts and cleanse us.
Remove anything that is not from You.
Heal wounds that we have buried deep inside.
Restore places where trauma and loss have stolen our joy.
Father, where the enemy has used brokenness to discourage us,
we declare that You will use it to develop us.
Where the enemy meant harm, You will bring healing.
Where there was mourning, You will release joy.
Your Word promises in Isaiah 61:3
that You give beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy for mourning,
and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
Lord, we receive that promise today.
Father God,
We stand on 2nd Corinthians 12:9,
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”
Today, we stop pretending to be strong.
We admit our weakness so that Your power may rest upon us.
Jesus, step into every weak place right now.
Strengthen the weary soul.
Renew the tired mind.
Revive the discouraged spirit.
We declare that this season of brokenness is not the end of our story.
It is the soil where breakthrough is being prepared.
Lord, release breakthrough now.
Breakthrough in faith.
Breakthrough in provision.
Breakthrough in healing.
Breakthrough in direction.
Breakthrough in peace.
Your Word says in Micah 2:13,
“The One who breaks open the way will go up before them.”
Go before us, O God.
Break every barrier.
Shatter every limitation.
Open doors no man can shut.
Father, we declare that chains are breaking.
Strongholds are falling.
Hearts are healing.
Hope is rising again.
Where there has been delay, we speak divine acceleration.
Where there has been confusion, we speak clarity.
Where there has been despair, we speak renewed hope.
Lord, teach us not to despise the process.
Help us trust You in the valley as much as on the mountain.
Remind us that even broken vessels can carry Your glory.
Like the woman who broke the alabaster jar at Your feet,
may our brokenness release a fragrance that honors You.
We choose today to praise You, not because everything is perfect,
but because You are faithful.
We declare by faith that our breakthrough is coming.
We may not see it yet, but we trust You.
We may not feel it yet, but we believe You.
We stand on Your Word in Romans 8:28,
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.”
All things, even brokenness, are working together for our good.
Thank You, Lord, for restoring what was lost.
Thank You for healing what was broken.
Thank You for making us stronger, deeper, and more dependent on You.
We surrender our past, our pain, and our process into Your hands.
From brokenness to breakthrough, we trust You completely.
We pray all these things
in the mighty and victorious name of Jesus Christ.
Amen and Amen.
In a few quiet moments, tell God what you’ve never told anyone. God is waiting for you to open up your heart to Him.
Remember this:
You are not abandoned.
You are not late.
You are not forgotten.
God is working, even now.

Do not owe people anything, except always owe love to each other, because the person who loves others has obeyed all the law.
The law says, “You must not be guilty of adultery. You must not murder anyone. You must not steal. You must not want to take your neighbor’s things.” All these commands and all others are really only one rule: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”
Love never hurts a neighbor, so loving is obeying all the law.

Prayer Against Corruption in the Philippines
Ama naming Diyos,
Lumalapit kami sa Inyong presensya ngayong oras na ito.
Ipinapanalangin namin ang aming mahal na bansa—ang Pilipinas.
Ikaw ang Diyos ng katotohanan, Diyos ng katarungan,
Diyos na nakakakita ng lahat ng ginagawa sa lihim at hayagan.
Walang nalilingid sa Inyo, Panginoon.
Patawarin Mo kami, O Diyos.
Dumudulog kami na may mabibigat na puso
dahil sa kasakiman, katiwalian, at kawalang-katarungan
na paulit-ulit na kumikitil sa pag-asa ng aming bayan.
Patawarin Mo kami sa mga maling desisyon,
sa pagpikit ng mata sa kasamaan,
at sa mga pagkakataong hindi kami naging tapat—
sa maliit man o malaking bagay.
Linisin Mo kami, Panginoon.
bawat opisina, bawat proseso, bawat dokumento.
Turuan Mo kaming maging tapat
kahit walang nakakakita.
Turuan Mo kaming maging disiplinado,
responsable, at maka-Diyos.
Turuan Mo kaming maging mabuting huwaran sa susunod na henerasyon.
Lord, ipadama Mo ang Iyong presensya sa Pilipinas.
Magdala Ka ng pagbabago—
hindi lamang sa gobyerno,
kundi sa bawat puso, bawat tahanan, bawat paaralan,
bawat negosyo, bawat simbahan.
magpakailanman.
Sa pangalan ni Jesus,
Amen.
