Africa for the Africans (AFTA) Tours & Investments Plans for 20 Year Anniversary of Travel and Tours to 5 Countries in Africa

(Atlanta, GA) — AFTA is pleased to announce that in 2026, it will celebrate 20 years of service, providing travel and tours to numerous countries in Africa. Since its inception in October 2006, the company led by Executive Director, Bomani Tyehimba, has taken over 800 people to various destinations in Africa for “The Journey of a Lifetime.” On these amazing tours, participants enjoy a vibrant mix of roots, culture, education, sightseeing, delicious meals, and a deep connection to their ancestral heritage. The intent of these tours is to revitalize and connect Africans throughout the Diaspora with a mission of fostering lasting relationships, business investments and networking, while also giving back to Africa by donating to schools, orphanages, and individuals in dire need. Many who have traveled with AFTA have either repatriated and/or built homes and invested in Africa.

“These Journeys to the motherland are inspired by the works of Marcus Garvey to reconnect our people to the land and our ancestors”, Tyehimba said, “We must pick up the flag and continue the works that were laid out by great visionaries like Marcus Garvey”, he added. Elizabeth, a tour participant, who has traveled with AFTA to three countries, said “Mr. Tyehimba is very organized and thorough. He went above and beyond to ensure that we were armed with all the information and preparation for amazing journeys. I kept traveling with AFTA because the team in the US and on the ground in Africa delivered more than what was promised, and I felt very safe in every country I visited.
