In upcoming lessons, I'm going to be showcasing how to create this abdominal flex and ribcage/stomach vacuum PSD that integrates perfectly with the IK/FK and volume control systems of the advanced skeleton spine. These two PSD's are triggered by a backward rotation of the chest (simulation of inhalation) and a forward rotation of the chest (simulation of abdominal flexing). The stomach vacuum is an exaggerated effect that will come handy during animation(I will explain the reasoning behind the choice to go with it). I also show how to create custom controls in many interesting ways to toggle these effects on or off or modulate their intensities.

In upcoming lessons, you are going to see me replace "some" of my rotation drivers with more reliable locator based driving systems.

Using a decompose matrix to access offset parent matrix rotation values is fine for limbs that rarely run into gimbal lock, but rotation drivers fail for more complex limbs that very easily trigger multiple rotation channels on simple movements.

Locators, distance, multiplyDivide, condition, clamp, clamp range and a plethora of other maya utility nodes provide native solutions that you may be interested in trying out, before committing to free or paid PSD plugins.

In this course, you will see me try and fail at certain solutions but I will show that it is fairly simple to recover, retreat and find a more sound resolution without too much penalty.

Bear with me as I wrap up the face troubleshooting for the ongoing Advanced Skeleton course in the next handful of lessons (anywhere from 4 to 8 lessons more of troubleshooting the head and ears to completion).

After that we continue on with more fun stuff, Corrective Deformation, and later on, nCloth Rigging.

I'm also working on the next set of Anthro courses, and plan for them to be released on Tuesday and Thursday.
So i'll have a video for every day of the week soon.
